From the bottom of our hearts, thank
you! Your generosity made this year’s Act of Cainess a
beautiful success. We were able to gift each nurse a
food hamper and a self-care gift bag. Because of you,
our NICU healthcare heroes felt seen, valued, and
celebrated. We were also able to provide clothing
essentials, cases of diapers, wipes, soap, eyedrops
and petroleum jelly for the little fighters in NICU.

Special thank you to 3 companies who went above and
beyond and we are so grateful. Thank you to Atlantic
Marketing, for donating cases or diapers, wipes and 10
baskets to the drive. They also helped us by prepping
the 22 baskets we purchased. Your kindness has been
a true blessing.

Thank you to Aventa Limited Barbados for not only
guiding us on what products to buy but came forward
and donated petroleum jelly, care items and eyedrops
for the babies along with cera ve cream and self care
items for the nurses. We deeply appreciate your
kindness.

Thank you to PricewaterhouseCoopers for your
continued support from inception. PwC made a
significant contribution to NICU in Cai’s honour after his
passing and continue to support us with our drive. Your
kindness and commitment to giving back has been
heart warming.

To our individual donors, our family, friends and
wellwishers, the way you showed up this year has
honestly brought tears to our eyes. Thank you to:

Jaimee Wilkinson, Dr.Shanae Gill, The Soleyn and

Today is World Mental Health Day! Here is how we spent our day as mental health professionals! John started the day at a Mental Health Symposium called Breaking the Silence: Commercial Determinants of Health while Christa was busy in therapy.

We ended the day with the Courtyard by Marriott team! Today we reminded staff that mental health is not a luxury, it’s the foundation for everything we do, feel, and become, it is an egg not a ball! Your mental health must be prioritized, today and everyday.

Fear may appear, but it doesn’t get the last word. Joy and accomplishment is on the other end of fear, don't let it rob you of what already belongs to you!

Resilience and peace grows when we learn to separate what’s within our control (effort, attitude, habits) from what isn’t (others’ opinions, the past, the future).

Affirmation for today: "I give myself grace for what I cannot change and strength for what I can."

✨ Exciting News! ✨
I’m thrilled to share that my chapter has been published in Afro-Caribbean Dynamics of S*x and Relationships (Explorations in Mental Health), now available on Amazon!

This chapter focused on S*xual Socialization and Communication about s*x in Barbados. This is especially meaningful to me because it was inspired by my early youth development work.

I am honored to be featured alongside such distinguished psychologists and authors, each contributing unique insights. A special acknowledgment goes to Dr. Kai Morgan-Campbell an exceptional mentor and one of the most outstanding professionals I have had the privilege of learning from. Her professional excellence continues to inspire and guide my own journey.

I can’t wait for you to read it!
