Jahurul Islam Medical College The College at present is entirely self contained with own buildings housing all departments, laborat It is about 110 km north-east of Dhaka city.

The medical college & hospital is situated in the village of Bhagalpur under Bajitpur Upazila of Kishoreganj District. Bus services are available from Dhaka. An intercity train named Egaro Sindhur Express also touches Bajitpur on its way to Kishoreganj and back. College:

At present the college is entirely self contained with its own buildings including laboratories, library, museums, dissection hall, lecture theaters, cafeteria, hostels for students, accommodation facilities for teachers etc. The campus is a green one with a beautiful S-shaped lake in the middle. It is in a pollution free zone and this environment is suitable for modern method of teaching and learning. The College is affiliated to the Dhaka University, approved by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM & DC)[3] and enlisted in the World directory of Medical Schools published by the World Health Organization (WHO). Most of the ex-students of this medical college are showing excellent performance as professionals both in Bangladesh and abroad. Many of them are in govt. services, while others are in private sectors. Today the ex-students of Jahurul Islam Medical College are found in almost every reputed medical institutes of the country. Hospital:

it has 500 bedded hospital with all emergency as well as general facilities. Daily out door patients which are treated here are in thousands. All minor as well as major surgeries are conducted here.Modern diagnostic facilities as well as Intensive care facilities are available here. অত্যন্ত দু:খ ভারাক্রান্ত হৃদয়ে জানাচ্ছি যে আমাদের জহুরুল ইসলাম মেডিকেল কলেজের সকলের প্রিয় শ্রদ্ধেয় শিক্ষক অধ্যাপক ডাঃ মোজাম্মেল হক স্যার আজ ১৩ই আগস্ট সকাল ৯.২০মিনিটে শেষ নিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন। ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল কলেজের প্রাক্তন ছাত্র অধ্যাপক ডাঃ মোজাম্মেল হক স্যার ছিলেন নিরহংকারী ও সাদা মনের মানুষ।

মহান আল্লাহ তার সমস্ত গুনাহ মাফ করে, তাকে বেহেশত নসিব করুন। আমিন।
