MIRSHARAI, the gateway of Bangladesh, China, India, Myanmar, the ancient economic corridor of the world and the biggest Sea port of the Country. This trade route was established by China during the Han dynasty in 200BC, under the name Silk Road or Silk route. Not only Chinese traders but also Traders from Turkey, Arabia, India, Iran Syria, Armenia used the silk road to trade with central Asia South Asia, Arabia, Europe and Africa. The British Government decide to open the 2000-year-old Silk Road in 1930. However, India, Bangladesh’s neighbour, now boasts a large economy. Furthermore, China, the world’s second-largest superpower, is a close neighbour. Due to Country’s geographical location, we live in the age of connectivity. “A TRIBUTE TO THE CONTRAST AND PARALLELS OF THE MOUNTAINS AND SEAS WHICH HAVE FOREVER SERVED AS AN INSPIRATION TO MANKIND’’ MIRSHARAI is the only place in the country where the most extended areas are covered by mountains, waterfalls, natural lakes, Forest at the East side, while the West side is covered by Sea and Sea beach, a Mangrove Forest, the biggest dam, the largest sweet water fish production of the country, Longest Marine Drive to Cox's Bazar, Bangabandhu Shilpa Nagar and in the middle Dhaka Chattogram Highway and Railway, a brilliant Natural Canvas of the Great Creator. Mirshrai is soon going to be a country leading industrial hub and business district namely Bangabandhu Sheik Mujib Shilpa Nagar. Heartiest Congratulations to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheik Hasina for her brilliant economic vision of Sonar Bangla, the dream of Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibar Rahman, the father of the Nation. My heartfelt thanks to our great Leader Former Minister Eng. Musharraf Hossain MP for his outstanding contribution to make this project happen and all respected prominent Investors from home and abroad who have decided to invest in Mirshrai at Bangabandhu Shilpa Nagar. We as Mirshrai people feel proud and grateful to The Prime Minister Sheik Hasina again to have the privilege of the Prestigious and Historical Name in Mirsharai among the 100 Economic Zones in Bangladesh. Bangabandhu Sheik Mujib Shilpa Nagar Sheik Hasina Avenue Biggest Economic Zone of the Country While we have the dream of the enormous potential of Industrialization and development at the same time, we will face tremendous challenges. Many people have projected that the existing 5,09,796 (2021) people of Mirsharai and the 2.5 million newcomers will take place in the next 12 yrs. may need their requirements or may face many unknown challenges especially in the sector of comfortable living facilities and infrastructure. Economic zone also may face many challenges on their own to meet the requirements of investors and I believe they are enough capable to solve their problems. But how about the infrastructure development of outside the Economic Zone? The 16 Unions and 2 Pourasova development requirements need to be designed where almost 3 million people will be accommodated, to ensure their smooth living facilities who are considered the lifeline of the Economic zone. If they cannot provide comfortable living, the economic zone mission will be Challenged, Investors will require all level management people available in Mirsharai as a long-term living plan. Daily communication of executive management people to Economic Zone from Dhaka and Chttogram is not advisable. We have to establish 5-star standard Hotel, Hospital, Education Centre and Condominium and Super Market facilities to upgrade Mirsharai as the best City of the Country. We may recall our memory that the country’s several industrial zone/cities established at the cost of huge painful sufferings of local people and Investors due to unplanned growth of city infrastructure which tremendously affected their day-to-day life in the famous industrial city like Narayangonj, Gazipur, Dhaka EPZ, Ashulia, Shafipur, Manikgong, Sripur, Joydevpur, Valoka, Mymensingh, Narshingdi , Chattogram EPZ, Kalurghat and many others. And obviously, from the above costly experience and unforgettable suffering, we cannot make the same mistake. We are the people of Mirsharai who has enough experience and expertise in different sector of the above sufferings we all are working together as a RESEARCH TEAM OF NAYA DALAN to find out the best viable way to assist all concern of respective Authorities of Government and Private sector by sharing our research report based on the grass root level of Mirsharai existing Infrastructure, projected demand, and supply resources of day-to-day life facilities. This is not only the demand of jobs but it is also matter of sustainable lifestyles where the people of Mirsharai can claim a quality life After having mega Industrial development in our Areas, we naturally expect the similar development for lifestyle facilities in our areas, so that our people can meet their requirements locally and conveniently. For example, the investment plan for a modern hospital facility for 2 to 3 million people over the next 12 yrs. So that we may not need to go to other places for treatment. We also need more Technical Institute, Medical and Engineering Colleges including Top the University campus from Dhaka and Chattogram. This will reduce the migration of Local brilliant young generation to otherwise. Once they can have their higher studies and can get the job locally if needed. We need Architectural designed and planned Smart Condominium Residential facilities as the best living place as international standard as Singapore and Malaysia where 300 to 500 families can live in each location/area with all in-house facilities which will help Newcomer to Bangabandhu Shilpa Nagar to stay in Mirsharai with their family. At the same time, Mirshrai people who are working in Different Cities and abroad might come back to their home City if they can find employment opportunities. Mirsharai has a huge education opportunity. 1. A visionary City govt plan to be prepared where we do not require to make any short-term plan which may need to change or correction, causing tremendous public suffering and waste of money and time. 2. All concerned departments to be aligned to execute the Master Plan. 3. The development plan to be made based on long-term main plan not as temporary solutions 4. Upzila, Pourasova, Union Parishad and BEZA, BEPZA and BGMEA and Big Industrial groups will contribute collective contribution and act as stack holder under one platform to execute the Master plan of Greater Mirsharai. 5. The living facility and development outside BEZA to be distributed among the 16 union and 2 Pourasova including Upzila headquarter. By any means it should not be centred everything in one particular place specially to avoid public density which may cause uneven economic distribution and a infrastructure facilities. This will help and ensure the equal economic distribution of development facilities among every single Person, family Ward and Union including happiness of Mirsharai people. My humble submission to all concern to keep this in priority always. 6. All internal circular roads to be extension plan to be taken immediately connected between BEZA and all unions to avoid Dhaka Chattogram Highway use, so that all people living in Mirsharai and people coming from Dhaka and Chattogram to Beza will be comfortable in traffic management in future. 7. The following plan to be synchronized between the concern department with the practical requirement to create Mirsharai as Smart City. A. CIRCULAR ROAD PLAN B. WATER SUPPLY BOTH FOR INDUSTRY AND PUBLIC. C. CENTRAL WATER TANK TO BE BUILT FOR 3 MILLION PEOPLE TO ENSURE UNINTERRUPTED WATER SUPPLY D. A GOOD LIVING PLACE LIKE CONDOMINIUM/APARTMENT TO BE BUILT PER UNION TO ENSURE EQUAL GROTH OF THE CITY. Master Plan for Central Water, Drain and Waste Management with Circular Road Per Union and Ward is highly important to create Mirsharai as Smart City 8. To ensure smooth public walking facility walkway besides Circular Road Per Union and Ward to be established 9. To establish Green Mirsharai Plantation to be established besides Circular Road Per Union and Ward 10. To grow a healthy Young Generation Playground per Union and Ward need to be established. 11. To ensure Healthy Lifestyle Natural Park to be established per union and ward. 12. To meet the water demand Rain water Harvesting, Water Preserver Per Union and Ward 13. Enough Street Lighting Per Union per Ward to secure public Security14. The Super Shopping Centre Per Union to meet the requirement of projected Population. 15. City Future Expansion to be Planned as Vertically developed. 16. Every Union should have one IT college and Vocational Institute 17. All existing School and college should include technical education curriculum 18. To Ensure Quality Health Care a Modern Medical College and Hospital to be established as a priority project to create Mirsharai Smart City. The total ground area of Mirsharai is 116441 Acre which is covered as under: 1. Economic Zone 13997.82 Acre 2. Agriculture Zone 31332.28 Acre 3. Forest Zone 24513.04 Acre 4. Sea/River/Water body 21362.16 Acre 5. Rural Settlement 18626.70 Acre 6. Urban, Recreation, Model 13000.31 Acre Town, Circulation Road others If we consider the future population of our area as 30 lakhs after 12 yrs. Including the normal growth of the existing population and 25 lacs related to the industrial zone, it means we must accommodate these people within 18626-acre land. As an example, if we divide into 16 unions then each Union Average land for Rural Settlement will be approx. 1164 acres out of which a minimum of 35% land is to be allocated for the expansion of an internal circular road, drain system, walkway and Plantation after that land will be left 756 acres per Union for Housing or Residence. If 30 lacs people are distributed among the 16 unions then each union will be 2 lacs approx. if we consider 756-acre 2419 kata for 2 lac people then we can have .13 Katha per person. It means after 12 yrs. This will be the land will available situation of its residential facilities. We can understand this is simply an impossible calculation means we have to recalculate our housing solutions for the next 12 yrs. from now on, accordingly we can find out ways to create smooth accommodation for 30 lac people. My understanding, to keep enough space for the ground and green of our Future smart city we may consider to give priority on the CONCEPT OF CITY VERTICAL EXPANSION.A Vertical City is very tall building that incorporates different kinds of If amenities like Housing,Working,Healthcare,Education,Culture,Tourism and more. If We do not take the correct measures to ensure the smart living of future generations, we will be held responsible to our own mistake. We must make Mirsharai as a Smart City considering that we have to consider key factors like Circulation Road extension with walkways, Plantation along with street lights. City, Union and Beza authorities hope to consider the long-term plan to make our future City model shown as pictures. All internal circular roads are to be extended immediately connected between BEZA and all unions to avoid Dhaka Chattogram Highway use so that all people living in Mirsharai and people coming from Dhaka and Chattogram to Beza will face minimum traffic in future.A new Generation School, College, University and Medical College to be established to meet the global standards requirement for International Higher studies better than other Cities to avoid migration of new generation and can complete their desired higher studies from his own place and can find his suitable job at Mirsharai if needed. In that case many students will come from different cities. 5 in 1 Power plant Irrigation project 12 months farming Control water logging Water Reservoir and Rainwater harvesting The energy generated from the Solar Canal can provide Electricity for farmers during the energy-intensive irrigation season, and out of season the electricity can be fed into the sate grid, sold to distribution companies or used by the canal authority. Since this power is generated in a rural area, the transmission losses are reduced and local grid is strengthened The advantages of Solar Plants atop Canals are not just about local energy production and land saved. For one thing, Solar plants can be built much faster than large Coal or Gas power stations and also the Covering over the canal helps to prevent evaporation of water, leaving more available for crops and people use.
Modern Hospital Model 1 MODERN UNIVERSITY CAMPUS New Generation College Model 1 I have tried my best to Sketch out a dream of a smart city for our next generation when we will not exist on this earth. but we are responsible to our next generation as individuals and Naya Dalan as an institution who has taken a Nobel initiative to make Mirsharai as a model city of the Country. In every step of all authorities related to Mirsharai development should be under research subject of Naya Dalan. All the policy and program of the different authorities to be studied by Naya Dalan Research Team in depth and independent opinion to be given as collective observation. without any influence. If we don’t, we can not protect Mirsharai. So as one of the advisors of Naya Dalan I felt responsible and tried to give my thoughts for next generation Mirsharai with my best possible study and research on the subject matter. Government, Beza, Bepza, Bgmea, Local Government may take their own policy for their own purpose which may not good in the long run and may cause harm for the new generation, That's Why Naya Dalan will assist all concerned department so that they understand and can take right policy measures, at the end Naya Dalan will win with their mission and Goal.
