কুমিল্লার বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত মানুষদের সকল ধরনের চিকিৎসা সেবা এবং রেস্কিউ অভিযানে মেডিসিন ক্লাব আর্মি মেডিকেল কলেজ কুমিল্লা এবং সাধারন শিক্ষার্থীরা বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর সহায়তায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের পাশে আছে সার্বক্ষণিক ।

তবে গোমতীর পানির উচ্চতা বেড়েই চলছে, গোমতির দক্ষিণ বেড়িবাঁধ থেকে ২-৩ ফুট এবং উত্তর বেড়িবাঁধ থেকে ২-৩ ফুট নিচে পানির লেয়ার অবস্থান করছে, কোন কোন স্থানে ১-২ ফুট নিচে পানির অবস্থান ।
