Cox’s Bazar Medical College is a medical college located in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. It is established in 2008. It takes 50 students every year. It offers 5 year MBBS course. Cox's Bazar Medical College running with four teachers including Principal. Fifty students of the Cox's Medical College are suffering for shortages of teachers, residential problems, shortage of office staffs, shortage of librarian and technologists. This information disclosed in a press conference organised by students of Cox's Bazar Medical Collage was held at Cox's Bazar press club this afternoon. Students of the Collage announced program including human chained and hunger strike.
45 out 48 students including Thamina, Samiul Alam, Anwarul Islam, Khandakar Rezwanur Rahman were present in the press conference. Anwarul Islam, first year student of Cox's Bazar Medical Collage read out the written speech in the press conference. Cox's Bazar Medical Collage was begins from January 2009 with 50 students. 4 Assistant Professor and a Principle were appointed for the department of Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry and Community Medicine. Class was begins on February 7th last. Cox's bazar Medical Collage was temporary established in a part of Cox's Bazar sadar hospital. Later, two professors were transpired from the Collage. Now college is running with three assistant professors but no lecturers, no librarian and technologist. In the present condition, no single teacher is there for the department of Bio-chemistry.
`Students are said they also be informed their problems to deputy commissioner, Cox's Bazar and civil surgeon, Cox's Bazar earlier. But yet to any remedy taken by government, they claimed in the conference.
`Secretary of ministry of Health and Family Planning and Director General of Directorate of Health were visited Cox's Bazar Medical Collage on February last. At that time they are committed to students for solved the problems,' they further added. Students of the Cox's Bazar Medical Collage were urges to government for solve their problems with in June 20 next. Either wise they will be taken some program including human chained, gheroed of deputy commissioner and civil surgeon office, hunger strike. Schedule of the program will announce later. Badiul Alam, president, Cox's Bazar press club also delivered his speech and supported the Cox's Bazar Medical Collage student's demands. Badiul Alam also urges to government for full fill the problems of the student immediate. Students expressed their opinion, `they are passing the day at Cox's Bazar very critical. They are suffering for resident problems. They are living with hired of a room and living four to six students in a room. They are shelf cooking. (by student`s)
