*25 August* is remembered by the Rohingya people as *Genocide Remembrance Day*, marking the brutal military crackdown in *2017* in *Rakhine State, Myanmar*. On this day, thousands of innocent Rohingya men, women, and children were killed, villages were burned, and over *700,000* people were forced to flee to *Bangladesh* for safety. The violence shocked the world and has been described by the United Nations as a "textbook example of ethnic cleansing." For the Rohingya, 25 August is not just a date—it is a painful reminder of the suffering, injustice, and loss they endured. Every year, Rohingya communities around the world observe this day to honor the victims, share their stories, and call for justice, recognition, and the right to return to their homeland in peace and dignity.

Subject: Appeal for the release of Ataullah Abu Omar Janani on behalf of the Rohingya people.

Honorable Sir,

We, on behalf of the Cox's Bazar Rohingya Camp, humbly inform that our Rohingya community leader Ataullah Abu Omar Janani is currently detained in prison. We humbly appeal for his release.

If there is a leader among the Rohingya community, his words are often not taken seriously by everyone. But if any crime or unrest occurs, the responsibility lies with the entire Rohingya community, not just one individual.

Ataullah Abu Omar Janani has always stood by our people. Despite being a citizen of Pakistan, he helped the Rohingyas, due to which he is facing danger today. Since 1942, the Rohingya have been persecuted by the Myanmar junta government and the Arakan Army, which has not stopped even today. No Muslim country has taken effective steps for us, but Ataullah Abu Omar Janani has stood by us.

Honorable Sir,
Our question is—Why should the one who sacrificed himself for us be imprisoned as a victim of injustice? Therefore, we, on behalf of the Rohingya people, are drawing your kind attention to his release and humbly requesting you to release him from prison immediately.
