Some children with delayed speech and language skills will gradually improve without any training, other children may require speech/language therapy to help them improve. There are many things you can do at home to help your child along. Teaching and training your child following the steps given here can learn new language skills. Every child has their own interests, so parents need to find their interest, encourage and teach them.

General tips:
Talk about what you're doing. Describe what you are holding, the actions you are performing, what to see, how you feel, and what you hear, smell or taste.
Use simple phrases and sentences.
Use action, change of facial expressions when you are speaking to your child.
Explain about the objects your child is using, the actions she is doing, how she is feeling, what she hears, etc
Give your child a bit of wait time and if she can’t find it, then you can point it out for her and help her point it as well.
