The 26th of March is more than a historic milestone; it is a powerful reminder of a people who chose to rise when silence seemed easier. In 1971, amid injustice and hardship, Bangladesh found its voice—not in whispers, but in unwavering determination. Every step toward independence was marked by loss, yet fueled by an unshakable hope that a free nation was worth every sacrifice.
Today, as we commemorate Independence Day, the BAF Shaheen College Dhaka Mental Health & Well-Being Club pays tribute to the strength and spirit of those who made this freedom possible. Their fight was not only for territory, but for identity, dignity, and the right to live without fear.
Honoring them goes beyond remembrance. It calls for responsibility. Let us strive to build a Bangladesh where freedom lives not just in borders, but in every mind and every heart—where people feel safe to express, to grow, and to thrive. May the courage of 1971 continue to inspire us to create a future defined not only by progress, but by compassion, resilience, and well-being.
