Dr Sharifa Zahan Mitu is the pioneer among female Bangladeshi Ophthalmologists to complete a long term fellowship in Cataract surgery and Glaucoma from home and abroad. She accomplished MCPS Degree from College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2013 and completed her post graduation (MS, Ophthalmology) from BIRDEM Academy under Dhaka University in 2014. • Observership in Moorefield Eye Hospital, London, UK. She has published some original articles in different Journals and Also attended national and international conferences to present her papers. She is now working as a consultant (Phaco Surgeon and Glaucoma Specialist) in Bangladesh Eye Hospital and Institute, Dhanmondi and Bangladesh Eye Care Hoapital, Zigatola, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She also Works as a trainer of Phacoemulsification Surgery Training program and one of the Supervisor of Glaucoma Fellowship program in Bangladesh Eye Hospital and Institute.
