DGHS launches hotline for mpox cases. If you notice any symptoms of this disease in your body, or if you have been in contact with an infected person, or if you show symptoms within 21 days of traveling to an infected country, please contact 16263 or 10655.
The symptoms of Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) typically include:
- Fever
- Headache
- Muscle aches
- Backache
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Chills
- Exhaustion
- Rash that starts as flat, red spots and progresses to raised bumps, blisters, and then scabs
- Lesions that may be painful and occur on the face, hands, feet, chest, ge****ls, or inside the mouth
- Respiratory symptoms (e.g., sore throat, nasal congestion, or cough) in some cases
These symptoms usually appear 5 to 21 days after exposure and can last 2 to 4 weeks.
