রুট ক্যানাল: দাঁত রক্ষার আধুনিক চিকিৎসা 🦷
দাঁতের ভেতরের নরম শাঁস বা পাল্পে (Pulp) যখন গভীর সংক্রমণ বা প্রদাহ হয়, তখন সেই দাঁতকে বাঁচানোর জন্য যে চিকিৎসা করা হয়, তাকেই রুট ক্যানাল ট্রিটমেন্ট (Root Canal Treatment - RCT) বলে। এটি দাঁত ফেলে দেওয়ার হাত থেকে বাঁচানোর একটি অত্যন্ত কার্যকরী পদ্ধতি।

দাঁতের ক্ষয় বা ভাঙা অংশ থেকে ব্যাকটেরিয়া প্রবেশ করলে এই সংক্রমণ হয়, যা তীব্র দাঁত ব্যথা, ফোলা ও সংবেদনশীলতার সৃষ্টি করে।

চিকিৎসা প্রক্রিয়া
১. সংক্রমিত পাল্প অপসারণ: প্রথমে দাঁতের ভেতরের রোগাক্রান্ত পাল্পটি সম্পূর্ণ পরিষ্কার করা হয়।
২. ক্যানাল পরিষ্কার ও আকৃতি দান: এরপর দাঁতের শিকড়ের ভেতরের ক্যানালগুলিকে বিশেষ যন্ত্রপাতির সাহায্যে পরিষ্কার করে নির্দিষ্ট আকার দেওয়া হয়।
৩. সিলিং: পরিষ্কার ক্যানালগুলি গুটা-পার্চা (Gutta-percha) নামক উপাদান দিয়ে স্থায়ীভাবে বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়।
৪. ক্রাউন (Crown) স্থাপন: বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই, রুট ক্যানালের পরে দাঁতকে সুরক্ষিত ও শক্তিশালী করার জন্য উপরে একটি ক্যাপ বা ক্রাউন পরানো আবশ্যক।

সফলভাবে রুট ক্যানাল করা হলে দাঁতটি স্বাভাবিকভাবে কাজ করতে পারে এবং ব্যথা থেকে মুক্তি মেলে। এটি একটি ব্যথামুক্ত এবং দ্রুত প্রক্রিয়া।
