World Cancer Day 0n 4th February has been observed all over the country. As a pioneer and leading cancer hospital in Bangladesh Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital, Mirpur, Dhaka also celebrated the day in a befitting manner. The day-long program begins with a big rally through Khanbahadur Ahsanullah Sarak from the hospital's main gate to Mirpur Ideal girls school and back to the pavilion with banners, and placards. Local Kafrul thana assisted us with a police van and force while the rally was in progress. Consultants, medical officers, medical technologists, administrative officers, and staff including PCA took part in the rally spontaneously. The rally was followed by a seminar duly presided over by Prof. Dr. Shariful Alam, Vice President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission. Director Kazi Forhad Alvi, Deputy Director Dr. Subrata Mistry, and the head of the Oncology department Dr. Islam Chowdhury were present and spoke on this occasion. Invited cancer survivors also shared how they have become recovered from this deadly disease. Later there was a cultural event where guest singers performed folk songs highlighting world cancer day. The entire program was sponsored by SKF. Finally, the day-long event was followed by snacks and lunch.

Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital Mirpur celebrated New Year 2023 in festive mood. Kazi Forhad Alvi Director AMCGH was at the center of all actions. Senior consultants, consultants, medical officers, nurses, medical technologists and admin and finance personnel were present on the New Year 2023 celebration. Today 2nd January was also birthday of Director Kazi Forhad Alvi which was taken place with huge enthusiasm among persons present. Both new year and birth day party were organised in the rooftop garden. On rooftop a new shed with mini conference table constructed recently. Besides a number of love birds have added new charms of the rooftop garden.

World Heart Day 2022 a weeklong program chalked out by Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital Mirpur is in progress. Take advantage of the cardiac check-up package, free ECG, and free consultancy by consultant cardiology. On 28 Sep 2022, a discussion session highlighting the day was organized where Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam( vice president DAM) and Enggr AFM Gholam Sharfuddin (GS - DAM) were present and spoke on occasion. Kazi Forhad Alvi, Director, Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital Mirpur presided over the program. While Deputy Director Dr. Subrata Mistry delivered a PowerPoint presentation. Later a video clip was displayed.

Recently this hospital has formally opened a project for the poor patients to distribute essential medicines 100% Free of Cost. People are requested to send poor and disadvantaged people to this hospital so they (the poor) can access the offer of Free Medicines.
