Excess facial hairs (Hirsutism) is a common problem faced by young ladies. Repeated threading, epilation cream or trimming can be very frustrating. So, we provide Laser hair removal/reduction for hirsutism along with (management of Polycystic ovaries if needed) for this problem. The result is permanent and patients are very happy as hairs do not grow back. Usually 3 to 4 sessions are given at one month intervals.

Participated in the Board of Governors joint meeting today at the Westin hotel, Boston.
Nominated as a member for the Patient Education Committee Pillar.....which will be issuing Patient Education and Safety Guidelines. This topic has been largely neglected in our parts of the globe. So feeling honoured to be a part of it, while representing our country as the Governor, ACS Bangladesh Chapter.

Had fruitful discussions with Dr. Aditya Aggarwal, president of Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (IAAPS), during the ISAPS World Congress in Athens today. Bangladeshi plastic surgeons interested in aesthetic surgeries (BSAPS members) can now become Overseas IAAPS members; and reciprocally IAAPS members can also become BSAPS Members. This will surely open new avenues for academic exchange between the two countries.

Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery dept of BSH observed "World Plastic Surgery" day - Brig.Gen. Prof. Masroor Hasan was the key note speaker, and all other departments participated in the CME Program. The primary aim was to inform others about the diversity of plastic surgery, and how to coordinate with other specialities to facilitate patient referrals and jointly organised surgeries - for the best interest of our patients.

Bangladesh Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BSAPS) organised yet another "hands on" Surgical workshop last Friday. Around 20 Bangladeshi plastic surgeons from various hospitals attended the workshop. With the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons' President Dr. Aditya Aggarwal joining us online......it was a grand success.
Dr. Medha Bhave and other Indian plastic surgeons were present throughout the whole 2 hrs of live surgery (Lipoabdominoplasty), which was being demonstrated by my team at Cosmetic Surgery Centre Ltd in Dhanmondi. The interactions regarding various technical details of the surgery was lively, and indeed beneficial for our plastic surgeons.
