She has completed her breast surgery training in the Breast Unit, Wycombe Hospital, Buckinghamshire Healthcare, NHS Trust, UK. She has worked with several senior breast surgeons in Bangladesh for years. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor, Surgery and Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Breast Centre, Labaid Cancer Hospital And Super Speciality Center. She used to work as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Anwer Khan Modern Medical College. She also worked as a consultant surgeon in the breast unit at BRB hospital, Panthopath, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has shown great determination and enthusiasm in developing breast disease management in Bangladesh and has travelled to various countries to obtain post-graduate training in Oncoplastic breast surgery. She went to the UK four times to work and gain experience in the Breast unit, Wycombe hospital. She contributed to establishing many surgical procedures of oncoplastic breast surgery in Bangladesh. While she was committed to teaching medical students at AKMMCH, she organized many educational events. Out of which, two international live surgery workshops at AKMMCH were hugely successful and contributed to the development of modern management of Breast cancer. She has participated as foreign faculty in India, Maldives as part of ASOMA and attended many conferences at home and abroad as part of continuous medical education. She has developed software that allows keeping patient details for outcome data and registry. She has published a good number of research papers, published in National and international reputable journals. Her passion and dedication for breast surgery enabled her to establish the first-ever dedicated breast care unit in Bangladesh according to UK protocol to provide world-class treatment for breast diseases including breast cancer in Bangladesh. She is associated with various associations both nationally as well as internationally such as the Society of Surgeon of Bangladesh (SOSB), Society of Laparoscopic Surgeon of Bangladesh (SlSB), Society of Association of Breast Surgeons of Bangladesh (ASBS), and Asian Society of Mastology (ASOMA), India.
