HEARS HEARS is committed to improve the quality of life of children and adults with hearing loss in Bangladesh.

Hearing Evaluation, Awareness and Rehabilitation Society - HEARS is a non-government, non-profitable, non-political, voluntary and charitable organization.

1. Enhance the lives of Deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing persons by removing barriers and building bridges to communication.

2. Developing and providing services and supports directly to deaf and hard of hearing people and their families.

3. Encouraging others to provide services fully accessible to deaf and hard of hearing people and their families.

4. Striving to make public and private sector organisations, and society at large, more deaf aware.

5. Create equal opportunities and full participation for persons with disabilities in all spheres of life, i.e provides vocational training to the deaf to enhance their employability quotient and enable them to become contributive partners of society.

6. Enable deaf and hard of hearing children to pursue and complete their educations, achieve good occupations, become fully self-reliant, and become beneficial members of the society as well as country.

7. To set up Hospital, Clinic and hearing evaluation for poor people only for free treatments.

8. To receive all kinds of aid, grants, donations, subscriptions for the purpose of the organization (in case of some foreign donations, grants, aid and assistance the foreign donates on (voluntary activities) regulation ordinance, 1978 (ordinance No. /1978) will be applicable), and to collect various funds and acquire and preserve assets and properties through receiving of such donations, grants, aid.

৫ দিন ব্যাপী নাক-কান-গলা ফ্রি মেডিকেল ক্যাম্প পরবতী বিনামূল্যে কানে শোনার যন্ত্র বিতরন অনুষ্ঠান

৫ দিন ব্যাপি ফ্রি মেডিকেল ক্যাম্প শেষে বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যায় স্থানীয় কিবরিয়া মিলনায়তনে HEARS এর সহযোগীতায় তরফদার হিয়ারিং সেন্টার এ অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে।

অনুষ্ঠানে গরীব ও অস্বচ্ছল ৬০ জন রোগীদের মধ্যে বিনামূল্যে কানে শোনার যন্ত্র বিতরণ করা হয়েছে।

বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নাক, কান, গলা বিভাগের প্রধান, অধ্যাপক ডাঃ কামরুল হাসান তরফদারের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন জেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান ডাঃ মুশফিক হোসেন চৌধুরী।

বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন ডাঃ সাখাওয়াত হাসান জীবন, নাট্যব্যক্তিত্ব ঝুনা চৌধুরী, শিল্পপতি গোলাম মাহীদ মনসুর, এডভোকেট মনসুর উদ্দিন আহমেদ ইকবাল, বৃন্দাবন কলেজের উপাধ্যক্ষ অজয় কুমার দাস, কবি তাহমিনা বেগম গিনি, শাহ আশরাফউদ্দিন শামীম, চেম্বার অব কমার্স এন্ড ইন্ডাষ্ট্রিজ সভাপতি মোতাচ্ছিরুল ইসলাম, প্রকৌশলী এম এ মুমিন চৌধুরী বুলবুল।

বক্তব্য রাখেন, অধ্যাপক ইলিয়াস বখত চৌধুরী জালাল, তরফদার হিয়ারিং সেন্টারের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক আরিফুল হাসান তরফদার, আবু হেনা মোস্তফা কামাল, শফিকুল বারী আওয়াল, অধ্যক্ষ রফিক আলী প্রমূখ।

সভাপতি অধ্যাপক ডাঃ কামরুল হাসান তরফদার তার বক্তব্যে বলেন, দেশের মোট জনগোষ্টির ৩০ ভাগ লোক কানের বিভিন্ন রকম সমস্যায় ভোগছেন। এর মধ্যে ২ ভাগ লোক কানে একেবারেই শুনতে পান না। এ সমস্যাকে রোধ করতে হলে মাইক, হর্ণ বাজানো নিয়ন্ত্রিত করে শব্দ দূষণ রোধ করতে হবে।
