Only child participation can ensure the understanding of situation and needs of the disadvantaged children. Learning for Life gives highest emphasis on child participation in its projects, thus we facilitate the disadvantaged children in identifying their needs, preparing the strategies, approaches and planning, monitoring and evaluation in improving their situation. We believe that children are the best advocate in influencing the government, stakeholders and community to change existing social norms and values associated with disparity, exploitation and abuse of the children. Only child participation can ensure a rational and educated future generation with full of confidence and enthusiasm. In the last couple of years, learning for Life not only supported in withdrawing children from hazardous work place but also educated them in the catch-up education centers ahead to preparing for formal school with child friendly primary education approaches as well as preparing them to express their voice to policy makers, stakeholders and community. We facilitating them to prepare themselves in child led voice rising involving the stakeholders, civil society, school management committee and LGIs and local administration. Annual child convention and child led public hearing was such an approach in influencing the local administration and stakeholders. Child Convention and Public Hearing is fully planned and organized by school child parliament for the released children of hazardous work.

From April 2011 to December 2015 a total of 1000 working children have been withdrawn from footwear making factories and dry fish plants. Among the 1000 released children 375 children completed primary schools though successful exam performance certified by the ministry of primary and mass education Bangladesh. All of the primary school completed children is now going to secondary level schools. The children who were involved in hazardous work and isolated from normal life and school, had no hope for the future, are reintegrated in formal secondary schools and dreaming for a wonderful future like the normal children, their family is looking to the new endeavor as well. Very interesting result is till last year 375 children appeared in primary level public exam and 100% successfully graduated, indicates quality education in the catch-up education centers, where all of 1000 is expected to be reintegrated in the formal school for further higher education, a most significant success of both project.
The released working children performed not less then the privileged children in government exam. Among the 375 primary graduated children 186 graduated with achieving grade A which is 49.6% of total graduated children, almost half.
