Children, in particular, are highly susceptible to heat-related ailments, including coughs, fever, and diarrhea.Here are some tips on how to maintain the health of children during this heatwave.
Following the Right Diet
Consumption of water as per children's weight
Carry umbrella, water, towel, saline while outdoors
Check for allergies and seasonal diseases
Be careful during summer sports
Don't lock your child up in the car
Maintain the Right Room Temperature.
Prickly heat powder or other talcum powders should not be used
Other extra-academic activities outside the classroom should be avoided during this particular time.
Prepare a summer care kit with a sachets of glucose or ORS, Water bottle, caps, sunglasses, a note book with neatly written instruction for summer care and involve your children in the activity.
