It is the OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE of Debate and Quiz Soceity-Sir Salimullah Medical College(DQS-SSMC in short) DQS-SSMC believes in the spirit of Liberation War.

Debate and Quiz Society-SSMC (DQS-SSMC in short) is a voluntary student organization of Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh which focuses on co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of medical students, mainly debate and quiz. It has expanded its arena of activity since its establishment on January 31,2013. Activities:
As described before, DQS mainly focuses on regular practice of debate and quiz amongst the medical students. That’s why it organizes regular workshops and seminars on helpful topics guided by experienced and professional trainers. Besides, it also emphasizes on creative activity like poster, wall magazine, photography, art and communication skill. That’s why it has so far organized ‘ভাষা প্রতিযোগিতা’ , ‘স্বাধীনতা সপ্তাহ’ and ‘অস্তিত্বে একাত্তর!’, the last one being a milestone in the history of SSMC as Dr. Nuzhat Chowdhury, daughter of Dr. Abdul Alim Chowdhury received an honor for her father from DQS. DQS-SSMC also believes in change, in fresh new ideas. That’s why it has introduced exclusive brands like ‘MEDICAL OLYMPIAD’, ‘mediSPELL’. In November 2013, it successfully launched a program with a spectrum impossible to achieve. Participants from than 23 Medical and Dental Colleges and 12 Universities participated in the “CARNIVAL CAPTIVE-2013’’, the biggest inter-university event of the year. DQS also organized a debate & quizzing competition for treating juvenile minds from different schools and colleges. Organogram:

Our Honr. Principal Prof. Dr. Dilip Kumar Dhar Sir is the chief patron of this organization. It is patronized by Vice Principal Prof. Dr. A.Z.M. Shakhawat Hossain and Prof. Dr. Anup Kumar Saha. The Executive body consists of 18 members in 9 posts of 2 separate wing. The Executive Body of 2013 goes as follows:

Debate and Quiz Society-SSMC has set a trend of exploiting juvenile minds with quizzing workshops on relative topics. After previous workshops on 'History of Art' and ' Food & Cuisine', a workshop on 'Mythology' was long due.

Dr. Sadia Sultana apu, one of our alumnae, has conducted the workshop on February 11, 2015 providing basic context of Greek, Egyptian, Norse and Hindu Mythologies. It was an absolute delight to quizzing minds adorned with her charming presentation.

We are looking forward to our next workshop very soon.

ডিবেট এন্ড কুইজ সোসাইটি-এসএসএমসি নতুন কুইজারদের বিকাশে বিভিন্ন প্রাসঙ্গিক বিষয়ে কর্মশালা আয়োজনের একটি ধারা প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছে। বিগত 'শিল্পকলার ইতিহাস' এবং 'খাদ্য ও রন্ধনপ্রণালী' বিষয়ক কর্মশালার পরে 'পুরাণশাস্ত্র'-এর উপরে একটা কর্মশালা আয়োজনের কথা বহুদিন থেকেই ভাবা হচ্ছিল।

আমাদের বড় আপু ডাঃ সাদিয়া সুলতানা ১১ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ২০১৫ তারিখে কর্মশালাটি পরিচালনা করেন। এতে গ্রীক, মিশরীয়, নর্স ও হিন্দু পুরাণ নিয়ে প্রাথমিক ধারণা দেওয়া হয়। পুরো আয়োজনটি আপুর অসাধারণ উপস্থাপনায় কুইজারদের জন্য অত্যন্ত উপভোগ্য হয়ে ওঠে।

পরবর্তী কর্মশালা আসছে অতি শীঘ্রই।
