Dr. Ashraful Huq is a Consultant Ophthalmologist working at Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute, Dhanmondi and Zigatola branch. His major field of practice is Phaco surgery, LASIK, SMILE, PRK, Keratoconus - CXL, Cornea transplant & Refractive Surgery. Dr. Ashraf has completed his basic medical degree MBBS in 2007, accomplished FCPS (Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons, Bangladesh) in Opht

halmology in 2015 and FACS (Fellow of American College of Surgeons) in Ophthalmic Surgery in 2022. He has completed fellowship in Cataract Refractive Surgery and Cornea & Anterior Segment from Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute, Dhaka and L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. He is trained in Phacoemulsification surgery, Glaucoma and Cornea services from renowned Eye Institutes of both Bangladesh and India. He took LASIK training from Narayana Nethralaya, India; SMILE training from Pashad Nethralaya, India and Penetrating Keratoplasty training from Bangalore West Lions Eye Hospital by SightLife, USA. His working fields of interests are Cataract, Cornea, Keratoconus, LASIK, SMILE and Refractive surgery. He has several presentations to his credit at national and international conferences. Dr. Ashraful Huq won the Best Paper Award at 14th Biannual SAARC Academy of Ophthalmology 2018 held in Nepal and received Best Young Ophthalmologist Award at 37th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress 2021. Dr. Ashraf is the Founding President of Bangladesh Young Ophthalmologists Society and he represents Bangladesh at international YO meetings. He is serving at the Bangladesh Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons as Scientific Secretary and also serving at the Bangladesh Eyesight Foundation as Honorary Executive Director which is working to establish a functional eye bank in Bangladesh.
