‘ধূমপান ও তামাকজাত দ্রব্য ব্যবহার (নিয়ন্ত্রণ) (সংশোধন) অধ্যাদেশ, ২০২৫’ জারির বিষয়ে অসামান্য অবদান রাখায় মৎস্য ও প্রাণিসম্পদ মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাননীয় উপদেষ্টা জনাব ফরিদা আখতারকে অভিনন্দন জানিয়েছে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন।

আজ (৭ জানুয়ারি'২৬) বিকালে সচিবালয়ে উপদেষ্টা মহোদয়কে ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশনের সভাপতি স্বাক্ষরিত ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপনপত্র হস্তান্তর করেন ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনের পরিচালক (স্বাস্থ্য ও ওয়াশ) ইকবাল মাসুদ, স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের প্রকল্প সমন্বয়কারী শরিফুল ইসলাম, আহছানিয়া মিশন ইয়ুথ ফোরাম ফর হেলথ অ্যান্ড ওয়েলবিয়িং-এর কো-অর্ডিনেটর মারজানা মুনতাহা এবং প্রোগ্রাম অফিসার খাদিজাতুল কুবরা।

এ সময় উপদেষ্টা মহোদয় অধ্যাদেশটি জারিতে প্রধান উপদেষ্টার ভূমিকা তুলে ধরে তাকে ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করেন। পাশাপাশি তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনসহ সকল তামাক বিরোধী সংগঠনের অবদানকে স্মরণ করে শুভেচ্ছা জানান। এবং তামাকমুক্ত বাংলাদেশ গঠনে ভবিষ্যতে সবাইকে একসাথে কাজ করার আহবান জানান।

Dhaka Ahsania Mission has congratulated the Honorable Adviser of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Farida Akhter, for her outstanding contribution to the promulgation of the “Smoking and To***co Products Usage (Control) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025.”

This afternoon (7 January 2026), at the Secretariat, a letter of appreciation signed by the President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission was handed over to the Honorable Adviser by Iqbal Masud, Director (Health & WASH) of Dhaka Ahsania Mission; Shariful Islam, Project Coordinator of the Health Sector; Marzana Muntaha Coordinator of the Ahsania Mission Youth Forum for Health and Wellbeing; and Program Officer Khadijatul Kubra.

At that time, the Honorable Adviser expressed gratitude to the Chief Adviser for his key role in promulgating the ordinance. She also appreciated the contribution of Dhaka Ahsania Mission and all to***co control organizations in advancing to***co control efforts, and called upon everyone to continue working together to build a to***co-free Bangladesh.

তামাক বিরোধী ইয়ুথ এ্যাডভোকেটদের উদ্যোগ এবং আহছানিয়া মিশন ইয়ুথ ফোরাম ফর হেলথ অ্যান্ড ওয়েলবিয়িং (YOUTH for Health & Wellbeing) এর সহযোগিতায় ৬ জানুয়ারি ২০২৬ রাতে শীতার্ত মানুষের মাঝে কম্বল বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। ফোরামের কো-অর্ডিনেটর মারজানা মুনতাহার নেতৃত্বে পরিচালিত এ উদ্যোগে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন তাসনিম হাসান আবির, হাসিকুল ইসলাম, ইরফানুল ইসলাম ফাহিম, সাইদুর রহমান সোহাগ, খাদিজাতুল কুবরাসহ ফোরামের আরও অনেক সদস্য।

With the initiative of the To***co-Free Youth Advocates and the support of the Ahsania Mission Youth Forum for Health and Wellbeing, blankets were distributed among cold-affected people on the night of January 6, 2026. The initiative was led by the Forum Coordinator, Marzana Muntaha. Other members present included Tasnim Hasan Abir, Hasikul Islam, Irfanul Islam Fahim, Saidur Rahman Sohag, Khadijatul Kubra, along with many other forum members.

জনস্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষায় ঐতিহাসিক পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে ‘ধূমপান ও তামাকজাত দ্রব্য ব্যবহার (নিয়ন্ত্রণ) (সংশোধন) অধ্যাদেশ, ২০২৫’ জারি করায় অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকারকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন।

আজ (৬ জানুয়ারি'২৬) সচিবালয়ে মাননীয় স্বাস্থ্য উপদেষ্টা নূরজাহান বেগমের কাছে ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপনপত্র হস্তান্তর করা হয়। এ সময় অতিরিক্ত সচিব (বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য) জনাব শেখ মোমেনা মনি এবং ঢাকা বিভাগের বিভাগীয় কমিশনার জনাব শরফ উদ্দিন আহমদ চৌধুরীকেও ধন্যবাদ জানান ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনের পরিচালক (স্বাস্থ্য ও ওয়াশ) ইকবাল মাসুদ।

উপস্থিত প্রতিনিধি দল তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ কার্যক্রম আরও জোরদার করা এবং আগামী সরকার যেন দ্রুত এই অধ্যাদেশকে আইনে পরিণত করে—সে আশা ব্যক্ত করেন। একই সঙ্গে জনস্বার্থে তামাক কোম্পানির প্রভাব নিয়ন্ত্রণ ও এফসিটিসি বাস্তবায়নের দাবি জানানো হয়।

এ সময় আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনের নির্বাহী কমিটির সদস্য আবু মাসুদ, স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের প্রকল্প সমন্বয়কারী শরিফুল ইসলাম, আহছানিয়া মিশন ইয়ুথ ফোরাম ফর হেলথ অ্যান্ড ওয়েলবিয়িং-এর কো-অর্ডিনেটর মারজানা মুনতাহার এবং প্রোগ্রাম অফিসার খাদিজাতুল কুবরা।

ধূমপান ও তামাকজাত দ্রব্য ব্যবহার (নিয়ন্ত্রণ) আইন (সংশোধিত-২০১৩) এর যথাযথ বাস্তবায়নের লক্ষ্যে বাংলাদেশ রোড ট্রান্সপোর্ট অথরিটি (বিআরটিএ) এর উদ্যোগে ও ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশন স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের সহযোগিতায় গত ২১,২২ এবং ২৯ ডিসেম্বর'২৫ তিন দিনে মোট ৬১৭ জন পেশাদার গাড়ি চালককে প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
রাজধানীর খিলক্ষেত জোয়ার সাহারা বাস ডিপো প্রশিক্ষণ কক্ষে ‘পেশাজীবি গাড়ি চালকদের পেশাগত দক্ষতা ও সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিমূলক প্রশিক্ষণ’ শিরোনামে গাড়ী চালকদের মাঝে তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইন বাস্তবায়ন ও স্বাস্থ্য ক্ষতি বিষয়ক প্রশিক্ষণ ও তথ্যচিত্র উপস্থাপন করেন ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশনের স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের প্রকল্প কর্মকর্তা অদুত রহমান ইমন।

সরকার ও মাননীয় প্রধান উপদেষ্টাকে অভিনন্দন ও আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ।
তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ (TC) অধ্যাদেশ অনুমোদনের মাধ্যমে—
✅ প্রতিবছর লক্ষাধিক মানুষের অকাল মৃত্যু রোধ হবে;
✅ স্বাস্থ্য খাতে বিপুল ব্যয় সাশ্রয় হবে;
✅ পরিবেশগত ক্ষতি কমে অর্থনৈতিক সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত হবে
এটি কেবল একটি প্রশাসনিক সিদ্ধান্ত নয়—এটি একটি জীবনরক্ষাকারী নীতি পদক্ষেপ।
