A delegation from Dhaka Ahsania Mission paid a courtesy call today, 4 March 2026, on the Hon’ble State Minister of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, Mr. Mir Shahe Alam. The delegation also met with the newly appointed Secretary of the Local Government Division, Mr. Md. Shahidul Hasan.

During the meetings, the delegation extended their congratulations and warm greetings to both dignitaries. They also highlighted the humanitarian and public welfare activities of Dhaka Ahsania Mission. A copy of the To***co Control (Amendment) Ordinance 2025 was formally handed over, and the Hon’ble State Minister was briefed on the importance of giving due consideration to the matter in order to safeguard public health.

As the Hon’ble State Minister expressed his unwillingness to take photographs, a photo session was held only with the Secretary.

আজ ৪ ঠা মার্চ ২০২৬ খ্রি. তারিখে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের একটি প্রতিনিধি দল বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দল-বিএনপি দলীয় এমপি (ফরিদপুর-৪) জনাব মো. শহিদুল ইসলাম বাবুলের সাথে একটি সৌজন্য সাক্ষাত করে। সাক্ষাৎকালে এমপি মহোদয়কে মিশনের পক্ষ থেকে অভিনন্দন ও ফুলেল শুভেচ্ছা জানানো হয়।

Dhaka Ahsania Mission delegation paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman, MP, on 2 March 2026.

During the meeting, the delegation requested his kind support for converting the To***co Control (Amendment) Ordinance 2025 into law without any alteration. The Honorable Minister informed that the ordinance would be processed as forwarded by the Ministry of Health. He assured the delegation that he would remain positive and supportive from his position.

তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ প্রকল্পের ধারাবাহিক এডভোকেসি কাজের অংশ হিসেবে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ প্রকল্প টীম আজ ২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ খ্রি. তারিখে ২ জন মন্ত্রী ও ২ জন প্রতিমন্ত্রীর সাথে তাদের সচিবালয়ের কার্যালয়ে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাতে অংশগ্রহণ করে। ২ জন মন্ত্রী হলেন- সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী জনাব নিতাই রায় চৌধুরী, এমপি ও সমাজ কল্যাণ মন্ত্রী এবং মহিলা ও শিশু বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী ডা. এজেডএম জাহিদ হোসেন, এমপি। অপরদিকে প্রতিমন্ত্রী ২ জন হলেন-সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক প্রতিমন্ত্রী জনাব আলী নেওয়াজ মাহমুদ খৈয়াম, এমপি এবং সমাজ কল্যাণ প্রতিমন্ত্রী এবং মহিলা ও শিশু বিষয়ক প্রতিমন্ত্রী জনাব ফারজানা শারমিন, এমপি।
Today, 25 February 2026, the Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) team met with the Hon’ble Minister for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Mr. Nitai Roy Choudhury, MP; the Hon’ble State Minister for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Mr. Ali Newaj Mahmud Khoium, MP; the Hon’ble Minister for the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Women & Child Affairs, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, MP; and the Hon’ble State Minister for the Ministry of Women & Child Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Ms. Farzana Sharmin, MP.
The delegation included two full-fledged Ministers and two State Ministers. On behalf of DAM, the team extended floral bouquets to congratulate them and shared a one-page brief on the To***co Control Ordinance 2025.
All four Ministers expressed their positive views regarding the approval of the Ordinance. Notably, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain expressed his interest in attending as the Chief Guest at any program organized by Dhaka Ahsania Mission.

The Dhaka Ahsania Mission team paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable State Minister for Commerce, Md Shariful Alam, MP, at his office in the Secretariat on 24th February 2026.
During the meeting, the Honorable State Minister was greeted with floral wishes. The team sought his support for the passage of the To***co Control Ordinance 2025 into law during the first session of Parliament. He assured his cooperation from his respective position.

On the same day, at morning, team of Dhaka Ahsania Mission met with Mr. Sohel Khan, APS to the Honorable Law Minister, Md. Asaduzzaman, MP, at the Ministry’s conference room for a brief meeting. During the meeting, he was briefed on the To***co Control Ordinance 2025 and informed the team that he would apprise the Honorable Minister accordingly. On behalf of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, a congratulatory letter addressed to the Honorable Law Minister was also handed over to him.

It was further informed that the Honorable Minister and his officials are currently engaged in reviewing one hundred and thirty three ordinances issued by the interim government; therefore, courtesy meetings are being kept limited at this time.

১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ খ্রি. ও ২৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ খ্রি. তারিখে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের একটি প্রতিনিধি দল বাংলাদেশের নতুন সরকারের ১জন প্রতিমন্ত্রী এবং সরকার দলীয় ২ জন সংসদ সদস্যের সাথে তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ বিষয়ে নীতি পরামর্শমূলক এডভোকেসি সভা ও সৌজন্য সাক্ষাতে মিলিত হয়।

১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারী সন্ধ্যায় গুলশান-২ গোল চত্ত্বর সংলগ্ন একটি কফিশপে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দল-বিএনপি দলীয় সংসদ সদস্য (নওগাঁ-৬) জনাব শেখ মো. রেজাউল ইসলাম এবং ২৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ খ্রি. তারিখে মাননীয় শিক্ষা প্রতিমন্ত্রী ও ঢাকা-১৩ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য জনাব ববি হাজ্জাজ এবং মাগুরা-১ আসনের মাননীয় সংসদ সদস্য জনাব মো. মনোয়ার হোসেন খানের সাথে প্রতিনিধি দলটি সাক্ষাত করে।

সাক্ষাৎকালে তাদেরকে ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনের তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ কার্যক্রম সম্পর্কে বিশদভাবে অবগত করা হয়। আলাপকালে জাতীয় সংসদের ১ম অধিবেশনে তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ অধ্যাদেশ ২০২৫ আইন আকারে রুপান্তর করার ক্ষেত্রে তাদের সমথর্ন ও সহযোগিতার বিষয়টি তুলে ধরা হয়। পাশাপাশি বিএনপি’র নির্বাচনী ইশতেহারে তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণে আইনি পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণের উদ্যোগের কথাটিও স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়া হয়। এক্ষেত্রে তারা সকলে অত্যন্ত আগ্রহভরে বিষয়টি আমলে নেন এবং সহযোগিতার বিষয়টি প্রতিনিধিদলকে আশ্বস্ত করেন। ভবিষ্যতে তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণের যে কোন ক্যাম্পেইনে তাদেরেকে যুক্ত রাখার ইচ্ছাও ব্যক্ত করেন।

আজ ২৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ তারিখে বাংলাদেশ সচিবালয়ে সদ্য নিয়োগপ্রাপ্ত মাননীয় স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ মন্ত্রী সরদার মোঃ সাখাওয়াত হোসেন, এমপি মহোদয়ের সঙ্গে এক সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

সাক্ষাৎকালে মাননীয় মন্ত্রীকে তাঁর নতুন দায়িত্ব গ্রহণের জন্য আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানানো হয়। বাংলাদেশের স্বাস্থ্য খাতের অগ্রাধিকার বিষয়সমূহ নিয়ে ফলপ্রসূ আলোচনা হয় এবং বর্তমান জনস্বাস্থ্য চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবিলায় সরকারি ও বেসরকারি অংশীদারদের মধ্যে সমন্বয় জোরদারের প্রয়োজনীয়তার ওপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করা হয়।

ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন -এর পক্ষ থেকে পরিচালক (স্বাস্থ্য ও ওয়াশ) ইকবাল মাসুদ এবং মিডিয়া ম্যানেজার আল তানভীর নেওয়াজ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

Courtesy meeting with the newly appointed Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Sardar Shakhawat Hossain, MP, held on 23 February 2026 at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

It was a privilege to meet the Hon’ble Minister and convey our congratulations on his new responsibility. During the meeting, key health priorities in Bangladesh were discussed, along with the need to strengthen coordination between government and non-government partners to address current public health challenges.

From Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Mr. Iqbal Masud, Director, Health and WASH, and Mr. Tanvir Al Nawaz, Media Manager, were present at the meeting.

গণপরিবহনে ধূমপানমুক্ত নীতিমালা কার্যকরভাবে বাস্তবায়ন ও সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধির অংশ হিসেবে বাংলাদেশ রোড ট্রান্সপোর্ট অথরিটি (বিআরটিএ) এর উদ্যোগে ও ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশনের সহযোগিতায় গত ২, ৮, ১৭, ১৯ ও ২২ ফেব্রুয়ারী’২৬ পাঁচ দিনে মোট ৬৬৫ জন পেশাদার গাড়ি চালককে প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

মোনাসেফ আহছানিয়া স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্র- টঙ্গি

ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশনের স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টরের নতুন উদ্যোগ “মোনাসেফ আহছানিয়া স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্র” টঙ্গি, ঢাকা আজ বুধবার সকাল ১১.০০টায় ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশন ও জনাব আলউদ্দিন সাহেবর মধ্যে একটি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এই চুক্তির আওতয় জনাব আলাউদ্দিন ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনেকে টঙ্গিতে ৭ শতক জমিসহ একতলা বিশিষ্ট একটি হেলথ সেন্টার হস্তান্তর করেন।ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশনের পক্ষে চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করেন ড. এস এম খলিলুর রহমান, এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন ঢাকা আহ্ছানিয়া মিশনের সভাপতি কাজী রফিকুল আলম, নির্বাহী পরিচালক ড. এম এহছানুর রহমান, পরিচালক স্বাস্থ্য সেক্টর ইকবাল মাসুদ প্রমূখ। এই হেলথ সেন্টারে আছে আউট ডোর চিকিৎসা সুবিধা, ইসিজি, আল্ট্রাসনোগ্রামসহ ল্যব ও ফার্মেসি। এই চিকিৎসা কেন্দ্রটি পর্যায়ক্রমে ইনডোর সুবিধার আওতায় আনা হবে।
