বাংলাদেশে প্রায় ৪২ শতাংশ শিশু অপুষ্টিতে ভোগে। এছাড়া সচেতনার অভাবে এবং দারিদ্রতার কারনে গর্ভবতী/প্রসূতি নারীরা গর্ভকালীন সময় সঠিক খাবার পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ করেনা অথবা করতে সক্ষম নন। এ দুইটি সমস্যা নিরসনে এদেশরই অন্যতম তরুণ নারী উদ্যোক্তা – রহমান অবন্তী হিমিকা গঠন করেছেন “হিমিকাস এঞ্জেলস ফর হিউম্যানিটি”।

বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম ফারমাসিউটিক্যাল কোম্পানী ”ওয়ান ফার্মা” বর্তমানে হিমিকাস এঞ্জেলস ফর হিউম্যানিটির এই মহতী উদ্যোগের সাথে একাত্মতা পোষণ করেছে এবং করোনা মহামারীর প্রভাব মোকাবেলায় “হাসি মুখ”নামে একটি প্রজেক্ট হাতে নিয়েছে যার মাধ্যমে যৌথভাবে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে প্রতি সপ্তাহে ১০০০ মানুষকে বিনামূল্যে প্রোটিন বেইজড খাবার এবং স্বাস্থ্য সেবা প্রদান করছে। প্রজেক্ট “হাসি মুখ” এর লক্ষ্য মাত্রা হল কয়েক লক্ষ মানুষের মুখে হাসি ফুটানো।

ইতিমধ্যে এই ফাউন্ডেশনটি গত ২০ই আগস্ট ২০২১ তারিখে বগুড়া শহর এবং কয়েকটি উপজেলায় “হাসিমুখ” প্রজেক্ট এর উদ্ভোধন করে ফেলেছে। ২৫ আগস্ট ২০২১ রায়ের বাজার এবং ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়স্থ টিএসসি এলাকায় সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষের মাঝে বিনামূল্যে এক বেলা খাবার বিতরন কর্মসূচীর মাধ্যেমে ঢাকায় এই প্রজেক্টের কার্যক্রম শুরু হয়। এই ফাউন্ডেশনটির আসন্ন পরিকল্পনা হল ঢাকাসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন জেলা এবং উপজেলা পর্যায়ে সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষদের পাশে দাঁড়ানো।
