WHO TOLD YOU TO MASSAGE YOUR BABY’S HEAD!!!!!

This is how our heads and our babies heads have suffered because of the myth that heads like this need to be massaged with hot water.

This type of head is what we call Caput succedaneum, and it happens when part of baby's head swells

when there's external pressure on the head during delivery
( eg prolonged or difficult delivery ).

This is not a disease and requires no treatment whatsoever .

The swelling goes away by itself just a few days after delivery.

Stop disturbing your baby's head with hot water pressing .

It's unnecessary trauma for your newborn

When the opening of the cervix starts to widen, this is called dilation, and it is one sign that labor is approaching. Dilation is typically measured in centimeters (cm). During active labor, the cervix fully dilates to 10 cm.

Your cervix, too, is preparing for birth: It starts to dilate (open) and efface (thin out) in the days or weeks before you deliver. At your weekly check-ups in the home stretch of your pregnancy, your provider may measure and track dilation and effacement via an internal exam.

But everyone progresses differently, so don’t be discouraged if you’re dilating slowly or not at all yet.

Types of pelvics
The four main types of pelvis shapes, according to the Caldwell-Moloy classification, are gynecoid, android, anthropoid, and platypelloid, each with unique characteristics that can influence childbirth.
Here's a breakdown of each type:

Gynecoid:
This is the most common female pelvis shape, characterized by a wide, round inlet and a broad, oval-shaped pelvic outlet, making it generally favorable for vaginal delivery.

Android:
This shape is often associated with males and is characterized by a heart-shaped inlet, prominent ischial spines, and a narrower pelvic cavity, potentially making vaginal delivery more challenging.

Anthropoid:
This pelvis is oval-shaped, with a longer anteroposterior (AP) diameter than transverse diameter, and is generally suitable for vaginal delivery.

Platypelloid:
This is the least common type, characterized by a flat, wide, and shallow pelvis, which can make vaginal delivery very difficult.
