প্রতিবছর মার্চ মাসের দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে গ্লকোমা রোগের সচেতনতা বাড়াতে বিশ্বজুড়ে পালিত হয় "বিশ্ব গ্লকোমা দিবস"।

গ্লকোমা বিশ্বব্যাপী স্থায়ী অন্ধত্বের দ্বিতীয় সর্বোচ্চ কারন।

বিশ্বের ৮০ মিলিয়ন লোক গ্লকোমা রোগে ভুগছে, যার বেশিরভাগই এ'রোগ সম্পর্কে জানেনা।

আমাদের দেশে প্রায় ৮ লাখ মানুষ এই রোগে ভুগছে।

এবছর ৯-১৫ মার্চ বিশ্বের অন্যান্য দেশের সাথে বাংলাদেশ গ্লকোমা সোসাইটি মানুষকে সচেতন করতে বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচি হাতে নিয়েছে। এরই অংশ হিসেবে Rtv তে আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠান।

আজ সকাল ১০-১০ মিনিটে অনুষ্ঠানটি প্রচারিত হবে।
