2021 Beacon International Cancer Summit kicks off in Zanzibar
The Summit is being organized by BEACON Medicare Limited a globally most popular Bangladeshi company for its innovative, Hi-Tech & newer products especially for Cancer, Hepatitis & diabetes treatment. The aim is to unite cancer care professionals to improve quality by exchanging the latest information and innovative ideas in cancer treatments.
The key objectives of the summit is to create an open platform to discuss the best practices in cancer treatment, sharing knowledge and experience of using advanced medications in cancer management, capacity building in cancer care through networking and collaboration and building awareness for early detection of cancer.
The summit program will feature interactive education sessions that will be led by high-level cancer experts these include molecular marker-based treatment in lung cancer, the role of immunotherapy in lung cancer treatment, ensuring advanced treatment for cancer patients in Africa.
Others are changing paradigms in HCC treatment, role of immunotherapy in gastroesophageal and colorectal cancer, the evolution of immunotherapy in non-Hodgkin lymphoma a case-based approach, and optimizing management of advanced prostate cancer.
According to reports every year, cancer is responsible for millions of deaths worldwide and, even though much progress has been achieved in medicine, there are still many issues that must be addressed in order to improve cancer therapy.
For this reason, BEACON Medicare Limited is putting a lot of effort towards finding new and efficient therapies which can alleviate critical side effects caused by conventional treatments. Different technologies are currently underevaluation in clinical trials or have been already introduced into clinical practice.
Cancer is an emerging health problem in Africa that needs to be addressed appropriately in order to control for increased incidence and mortality rates. It has been suggested that by 2030 there will be a 70% increase in new cancer cases due to population growth and aging.

BEACON Cephalosporin Limited, a concern of BEACON group has been inaugurated on 20th of August, 2020(Thursday) in order to run it’s operations.

The plant sits on 3 acres of Land in Bhakuka-Mymensingh and was set up in compliance to GMP regulations promulgated by the international regulatory authorities(US-FDA, EU-GMP).

It’s a complex facility, designed & build with segregation system to confirm health safety and avoid cross-contamination among generics. The Plant has the Capacity to manufacture all range & forms of Cephalosporin Anti-biotics. The plant has been built in a way which ensures highest production capacity in order to promote contact manufacturing though-out the globe.

Beacon investing Tk 650cr (Approx 77977250.00 USD) to set up it's "state of the art second dedicated anti cancer drugs manufacturing unit"

Beacon Pharmaceuticals, the largest manufacturer of cancer drugs in Bangladesh, will invest Tk 650 crore to set up a new unit to produce oncology medicines in a move that will expand its manufacturing capacity fourfold.
