The story of Ethics Advance Technology Limited stated with the vision and dream of a visionary entrepreneur, Mr. He was born in Moulvibazar, Sylhet in a prestigious family. From his early life, he has always wanted to do something fruitful for the country and the people of Bangladesh. With a view to establish the ICT footprint in Bangladesh to pace up with the upcoming digital era, Mr. Khan founded Ethics Advance Technology Limited (EATL) in November 1999, which was incorporated with Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) in 2000. Under his capable and dynamic leadership, EATL has experienced spectacular growth in the last 20 years and have also been effectively contributed towards the development of ICT industry in the country. Still contributing in both government and private sectors of Bangladesh and abroad, the firm has now become one of the leading software and technology companies of Bangladesh. EATL is deeply committed to enhancing the business value of clients and partners on a long term and outstanding basis through ensuring technical excellence and fair business practices. EATL became a member of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), which the national apex body for Software and IT Enabled Service industries of Bangladesh. With his leadership and charisma, Mr. Khan served as one of the Directors of BASIS Executive Council in 2009. He was also the Convener of the BASIS SoftExpo, the largest private-sector exposition aimed at showcasing IT and ITES products and services in Bangladesh. BASIS SoftExpo has now became a regular yearly event in Bangladesh ICT sector, thanks to his thoughtful foresight. Khan is credited as the father figure in developing the mobile application industry in Bangladesh. He and his organization was the pioneer in mobile application development in Bangladesh. Also, he ensured that there are enough attention and interest in the mobile application industry by the youngsters of Bangladesh by launching the first Mobile Application Store and Platform of Bangladesh titled EATLapps (www.eatlapps.com). It was launched on 17th November 2012 at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel with the then ICT Minister Mostofa Faruque Ahmed as the Chief Guest. The themes of the competition were to encourage the brightest talents, ICT and Development professionals. Government officials from different sectors, Development Partners, Donors, UN agencies, ICT industry colleagues, Universities, Colleagues, NGOs, Civil Society organizations and representation from new generation - young people participated in the program. In the next 5 years, EATL along with the leading national daily Prothom Alo, consecutively launched yearly mobile application development contests to find out ICT talents in Bangladesh. This is considered as a milestone step in Bangladesh ICT industry. Mubin also served as the Chairman of the management committee of BASIS INCUBATOR, which has become the largest incubation hub for generating ICT professionals and human resources in Bangladesh. Khan visited a number of ICT expositions held in home and abroad and shared his experience and expertise in developing the ICT Blueprint for Bangladesh. He also attended a number of seminars, symposiums and international expositions of ICT at home and abroad. He is currently a Syndicate Member of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh. Khan also served as a member in the Industry-University advisory board of North South University. He is also a member of the First Industrial Advisory Panel of BRAC University. He is one of the pioneers in understanding the value of documentation and good coding practices in Bangladesh and under his guidance, EATL managed to attain CMMI level 3 Certification, which very few ICT organizations in Bangladesh has been able to achieve. As a successful business-person, Mr. Khan has established a formidable reputation in the business community of Bangladesh. His organization, Ethics Advance Technology Limited, is a member of DCCI and FBCCI and he also served as the Chairman of ICT subcommittee of FBCCI. Khan is very vocal about health and health-related issues in Bangladesh. He is very active regarding the health conditions of mass people of Bangladesh and plays a significant role in deriving national policies for health in Bangladesh. He is one of the monikers in forming Bangladesh Private Medical Colleges Owners Association (BPMCA) - the national-level trade body representing Private Medical Colleges of Bangladesh. He is currently the Chairman of the Association. Recently, he has also been appointed as the Managing Director of International Medical College and Hospital (IMCH), a renowned 500 bed hospital and medical college in Gazipur, founded by a number of philanthropists. Khan was one of the prime founders of the medical college, where currently about 800 medical students are studying out of which about 550 are foreign students. He is also the Chairman of Imperial Medical College (under construction) situated at Moulvibazar. He is one of the policy level advisors to Health Ministry of Bangladesh as well. Khan is famous not only in Bangladesh but also in neighboring countries for his contribution to ICT. He is a director, ICT council of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industries and works closely for developing the cooperation methods with neighboring countries like India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and more. He is also actively working in expertise exchange through seminars, trainings and knowledge sharing sessions with other countries, where he highlights local professors and IT professionals with outstanding capability in the field of ICT, education and health. He is also a director for the National ICT Skill Development Council. Mubin Khan is also associated with Lions Club of Bangladesh and maintains close relationship with the highest echelon especially in administration and trade and business of the country. He was awarded a Gold Medal by Lions Club District 315-A2 at a national convention held in Hotel Sonargaon for keeping a significant contribution in humanitarian services and social welfare. Khan was a member of the delegation of the honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina while she visited Japan and OIC, KSA. Khan visited Japan and in presence of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, he signed an MOU with the Japanese counterpart under which Japan has agreed to invest in a 500 bed specialized cancer hospital in Bangladesh. Khan also participated in a global exposition at Shanghai in 2019. He joined a conference on ICT arranged by SEMSA and funded by European Union at Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was included as a business delegation of Prime Minister during her recent visit to United Nation’s General Assembly in 2019. Beyond his busy professional life with ICT, health and education, Mr. Khan lives a quite personal life with his wife and four children in his humble abode in Dhaka. He considers Sylhet as the center of his heart and dedicates his life for the well-being and welfare of Sylhet and people from the locality. He has a special connection with his hometown Moulvibazar and actively volunteers in different social welfare activities for the growth of Moulvibazar district. He was the president, zonal chairman and regional chairman in Lions Club. He has a keen focus to make Sylhet and Moulvibazar as the number one green tourism spot of Bangladesh and for that he has also collaborated with Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation. He is the founder of the first amusement park, Adventure World Amusement Park, in Sylhet city. With his visionary leadership and evergreen entrepreneurial heart, Mr. Khan expects to establish a strong footprint of Bangladesh in the sectors of ICT, Health and Digital Education with implementation of modern technology and human interaction side by side. He wants to focus the local talents of Bangladesh in the international arena and has been working relentlessly for this purpose with all his willingness and positive energy towards development.
