Charter of SABIS
Scholars Association of Bangladesh National Institute of Sports (SABIS)
An organization of scholars originated from Bangladesh National Institute of Sports (BKSP).
Motivation:
Work selflessly without desire for return. Honesty and sincerity will be the prime concerns for members.
Objectives:
Look after the welfare of BKSP.
Run an elite sports institution.
Run a sports channel.
Organize sports science seminars.
Publish sports journals and magazines.
Eligibility:
1. Professors and Scientists*
2. Successful officials and organizers*
3. Successful teachers and coaches*
4. Successful students and sports performers*
Enmity:
1. Any relation to politics or political organizations.
2. Any relation to illegal organizations.
3. Any relation to dishonesty.
4. Any relation to drugs and alcohol.
5. Any relation to criminal offenses.
6. Any relation to unfair means.
7. Any history of nepotism.
8. Any history of racism.
*a PhD in the respective field from a university in any sports-developed country.
*a First author of a minimum of two publications published in internationally reputed journals.
*a At least five oral presentations in internationally reputed sports science conferences.
*a Will be nominated by the specified committee.
*b PhD in the respective field from a university in any sports-developed country.
*b Author of a minimum of two publications published in internationally reputed journals.
*b At least five oral presentations in internationally reputed sports science conferences.
*b Will be nominated by the specified committee.

c. Have proven honesty and sincerity.
*c Employed based on quality, not unfair means.
*c Served at least five years for BKSP.
*c Will be nominated by successful sports performers and student members.
d. Master’s degree (with honors) from a reputed university.
*d Best students (up to 5th position) of the long-term program of BKSP.
*d Best players (up to 5th position) of the long-term program of BKSP.
*d Member of the senior national team (at least four consecutive times).
*d Smoothly passed-out cadets.
Positions:
Presidents (organization, sports institution, sports channel).
Vice Presidents (organization, sports institution, sports channel).
General Secretaries (organization, sports institution, sports channel).
Assistant Secretaries (organization, sports institution, sports channel).
Treasurer (organization, sports institution, sports channel).
All the above-mentioned positions will be nominated by members of this organization. Educational qualifications, performance in sports, experience in respective fields, and seniority will be preferred in selection and nomination.
Definition of Successful:
Organizer: PhD and equivalent.
Coach: PhD and equivalent.
Teacher: PhD and equivalent.
Student: PhD and equivalent.
Sports Performer: Accredited by national and/or international organizations.
Minimum level to be achieved to become a member:
1. In sports education: MSc/MA in any sports-related subject.
2. In sports profession: Senior Coach/Manager/Coach of a national team with proper certification from international organizations.
3. In civil service: Deputy Secretary or equivalent.
4. In defense service: Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent.
5. National Players: Junior National for Football and Cricket. Senior National for all others.
6. In general education: Assistant Professor or equivalent.
7. In business: Managing Director or equivalent.
8. In media and communication: Editor or equivalent.
