21st June — The Sacred Birth of Yoga
June 21st marks the sacred birth of the Science of Yoga. According to ancient tradition, it was on this auspicious day that the Adi Yogi, the first Yogi and the Adi Guru, began transmitting the profound wisdom of Yoga to his seven disciples — the revered Saptarishis (Seven Great Sages). This day also holds cosmic significance, being the Summer Solstice, when the sun reaches its peak — the longest day and shortest night of the year. Recognizing its deep spiritual and natural importance, the United Nations declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga (IDY).
A Spiritual Awakening in Bangladesh
On this very significant day, Bangladesh witnessed a historic spiritual emergence. A group of students officially declared the birth of the Dhaka University Spiritual Circle (DUSC) — an oasis for Sufis, Yogis, and all spiritual aspirants. In a time when the world reels from heartbreaking events — genocide in Gaza, unrest in Iran and Israel, terror in Kashmir — and as Bangladesh carries the wounds of recent political trauma, the formation of DUSC feels like a divine response. Amidst both local and global chaos, DUSC stands as a spiritual oasis — a place of peace, resilience, and inner awakening for the younger generation.
Hu Foundation stands with DUSC- an oasis for Sufis, Yogis, and all spiritual aspirants
The Hu Foundation is honored to be a part of this sublime initiative led by the conscious students at Dhaka University. At a time when darkness looms, their call to light, unity, and inner transformation is not only timely — it is historic. We united in Heart Love Meditation, awakening our souls through the boundless power of divine love.
