Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "Partners in Service" and key members of the family of Rotary. As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 8,400 clubs in about 170 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon. All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaract has the following goals:
> To develop professional and leadership skills
> To emphasize respect for the rights of others,
based on recognition of the worth of each
individual
> To recognize the dignity and value of all useful
occupations as opportunities to serve
> To recognize, practice, and promote ethical
standards as leadership qualities and vocational
responsibilities
> To develop knowledge and understanding of

Very brief description of our major programs are given below. Tree Plantation Program: A tree plantation campaign is arranged every year. Sometimes this program is taken on the first day of the new Rota year. Distribution of Food and Educational Equipments: We try our best to bring smile of their faces of the poor and underprivileged by distributing food and educational equipments among them. Eye Care Camp: We arrange eye care camp where students and other people are given free checkup and medical advice regarding their eyes. Iftar Party: An iftar party is held during every Ramadan. Sometimes this program is also held at an orphanage where we can share our iftar with the orphans. Eid Reunion:After" Eid-ul-Fitre" and "Eid-ul-Azaha" we regroup ourselves and share our eid experience among the club members and club guests. Celebration of Pahela Boishakh: The first day of Bangla calender, the "Pahela Boishakh", is celebrated with a rally,different interisting games, cultural program, get together, feast etc. Seminar on Different Topics: Seminar on different topics, mostly related to the development of academic and professional capabilities are held time to time. Besides, our club arranges some programs which are demanded by the situation. Our club members are always prepared to extend their helping hands to the country during natural calamities.
