Today, 28 November 2025, a formal Poster Presentation Competition was held on the occasion of World AIDS Day 2025, organized by the German University Bangladesh Public Health Club.

The event was attended by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary, Dr. Monoarul Haque, Dean and Head of the Department of Public Health, along with other respected faculty members.

Students from different batches of the Public Health Department participated in the competition and presented posters on various topics related to HIV/AIDS, focusing on prevention and awareness.

The winners were awarded with crests in recognition of their outstanding presentations.

In the closing remarks, the Vice Chancellor and Head of the Department encouraged students to take part in such programs in the future to enhance their academic and presentation skills.

In observance of World AIDS Day (December 1) GUBPHC is organizing a poster presentation competition among all batches of Public Health.

📝 Theme: "Let Communities Lead”
Each batch will prepare and present a poster on a specific sub-topic related to HIV/AIDS* (topics will be assigned).

🔹 Objective:
To raise awareness, enhance learning, and encourage creative academic expression around HIV/AIDS.

🔹 Participation:
- One team from each batch
- Poster must be original and informative
- Presentations will be evaluated by faculty/judges

🔹 Prizes & Recognition:
Top teams will be awarded certificates and prizes.

👨‍⚕️𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 & 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 in Porsha, Naogaon

Bangladesh Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) and German University Bangladesh (Department of Public Health) with Public Health Club jointly organized a Free Health Camp and Health Awareness Programme in Porsha, Naogaon.

The event was graced by:

✨Mohammad Shahjahan – DIG, Rajshahi Range

✨Dr. Monoarul Haque – Head, Department of Public Health, German University Bangladesh
✨Public Health Club Members.

This program included a comprehensive health awareness session conducted by German University Bangladesh (Department of Public Health), focusing on educating adolescent girls about personal hygiene as well as informing community members about contraception, snakebite prevention, and other important health issues. During the event, the chief guest distributed educational materials and menstrual hygiene kits from the Bangladesh Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) among the school students. She also provided winter clothing to distressed, helpless, and underprivileged individuals in the community.

Efforts like these significantly contribute to strengthening community health education and enhancing overall quality of life.
