Electronics and Communication Engineering Discipline, Khulna University

Electronics and Communication Engineering made the whole universe smaller by its capacity of communicating. Actually no place is distant in the present world due to this field of Engineering. The increasing development of electronics and computer technology has made a breakthrough in communication technology in the last few years. The unbelievable development of optical and satellite communication technology has made the Information Super Highway a reality and the inhabitant of the globe has become a single family through the Internet. Besides theoretical education, the discipline emphasizes practical aspects of Electronics and Communication Engineering. To support this practical training, the discipline has a number of laboratories and is now being equipped with necessary equipment and instruments. At present, ECE discipline is the top ranked discipline of this university. Beside regular study curricula it conducts a project fair every year at the world telecommunication day. The students bring their electronics based projects in the fair. The discipline is equipped with Electrical lab, Analog electronics lab, digital electronics lab, bio-medical engineering lab, analog and digital communication lab, satellite communication system kits, microwave and antenna lab, a computer lab with 20 workstations, also with a seminar library.
