Our Story
While treating diabetic patients for years, a young doctor perceived the plight of these unfortunate people and lack of proper management of Diabetic Foot and wound care in the country. With the vision to help this distressed group of patients, “Diabetic Foot Care Clinic” started off its journey in the year 2016 at CARe Medical College and Hospital.
Over the years, providing idea patient care and acquiring much needed specialized training on Diabetic foot management, a group of doctors went forward to upscale Diabetic Foot care Clinic and established “Bangladesh Diabetic Wound and Foot Care Limited” (BDWFCL) as a sister concern of CARe Medical College and Hospital. From 1st September 2019 BWDFCL begun to serve fully equipped with the latest world class diagnostic and therapeutic facilities.
BDWFCL mainly focuses on the preventive aspect of diabetic foot ulcers, including screening of high risk cases, timely surgical intervention and optimal post-operative care. It also provides necessary auxiliary support needed for the comprehensive management of diabetic wound and foot which includes proper dressing materials, appropriate medical foot wears, cutting edge screening tools.
