A free rabies vaccination and awareness campaign will be held on September 28, 2024, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, BAU.

The Cat Flu vaccine is available again at our hospital. This vaccine provides protection against two deadly diseases: feline panleukopenia (feline distemper) and feline respiratory disease complex. Vaccinating your cats will prevent the mortality and suffering associated with these diseases, thereby enhancing the health and wellbeing of your pets.

A Persian cat family, comprising 18 members, paid a visit to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital today for their routine vaccination. Notably, the conscientious owner is committed to maintaining a strict core vaccine schedule for her furry friends.

Among the family members, one cat is expecting, and two are currently experiencing mild health issues. Despite these considerations, the owner has demonstrated commendable responsibility in ensuring the well-being of her feline companions.

During the visit, we administered vaccine against Feline Panleukopenia, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Herpes Virus infections for all and rabies for two kittens [as other members were already vaccinated against rabies] —following the recommended core vaccine protocol.

We extend our appreciation to the owner for her exemplary management of this sizable cat family, showcasing a dedication to preventive healthcare and the overall welfare of her beloved pets.
