BKMEA Chittagong Test-1 BKMEA has grown enormous network in home and abroad. The members are the core strength and primary network of BKMEA.

Besides, BKMEA works closely with national and International bodies like, International Apparel Federation (IAF), Global Alliance for Fair Textile Trade (GAFTT) and American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition (AMTAC). To boost up trade and to enhance cooperation between countries, BKMEA has signed agreement with concerned associations like China Yunnan Light & Textile Industry Association on June 10, 2005, Botswana Manufacturers & Exporters Association on October 8, 2009 etc. To promote the sector, BKMEA is implementing development projects with German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and other international organizations in this regard. The association has signed MoU with GTZ on March 16, 2005 and Metro Group, Germany on 26 April, 2010. BKMEA also closely working with Asian Development Bank(ADB), World Bank, JICA, UNIDO, BRAC, Ministry of Finance and other national and international organization for the development of Knitwear sector of Bangladesh. The development works include: enhance productivity and improve social compliance status of its member factories, promote workers welfare through centralized day care centre, health care centre, prepare sector related research and publication, intensive training program to raise the productivity of workers also the mid level management, organize trade promotion missions and fairs in home and aboard. BKMEA is run by a 27-member Board of Directors led by the President. The Board of Directors is elected for a 2-year period. To the betterment of the Knitwear sectors as well as the economy of Bangladesh different committees are also working efficiently.

BKMEA ও Fair wear Foundation এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে sustainable textile initiative together for change ( STITCH) Bangladesh প্রকল্পের আওতায় TOT on Gender Sensitivity and Grievence Redressal Mechanism
at workplace এর উপর দুই দিন ব্যাপী প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালার গতকাল BKMEA চট্টগ্রাম কার্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। উক্ত প্রশিক্ষণে BKMEA সদস্য ভুক্ত ১০ টি কারখানার মোট ২০জন মিডলেভেল কর্মকর্তা অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
উক্ত প্রশিক্ষণে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন BKMEA এর পরিচালক "জনাব মো: ইয়াসিন।
অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি তার বক্তব্যে বলেন "এ প্রকল্পটি BKMEA এর একটি সময়োপযোগী উদ্যোগ। এ প্রকল্পটির মাধ্যমে BKMEA এর সদস্য ভুক্ত স্ব স্ব প্রতিষ্ঠানের মিডলেভেল কর্মকর্তারা তাদের প্রতিষ্ঠানে কর্মরত শ্রমিক কর্মচারীদের প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে যৌন হয়রানি প্রতিরোধে দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন করতে পারবে বলে BKMEA আশাবাদী ।
তিনি আরো বলেন, এই কর্মশালার মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠানে যৌন হয়রানি সম্পর্কে সর্বস্তরে কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারী ও শ্রমিকদের মধ্যে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির মাধ্যমে সুষ্ঠু ও সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণ কর্মপরিবেশ গড়ে তোলা সম্ভব।"
