Eagle Lessons

The eagle is one of the best teachers of leadership.

Why?

Because its life is full of lessons we can apply at work and even in our personal growth.

Vision – An eagle can spot its prey from miles away.

•As a leader, you can’t just focus on what’s in front of you—you need a clear vision of where you’re leading your team.

Facing the Storm – While most birds hide, the eagle uses the storm’s strong winds to rise higher.

•Leaders do the same—challenges are not roadblocks but stepping stones to new heights.

Renewal – When it grows old, the eagle goes through a painful process of breaking its beak and pulling out old feathers so new ones can grow.

•Leadership also requires this kind of courage: letting go of old habits and mindsets to make space for growth.

Know this: Leadership isn’t about staying comfortable it’s about vision, resilience, and the courage to transform.

Aquila Community Development (Pty) Ltd are honoured to collaborate once again with one of our local communities on a vital upliftment project called the Bo-Pad Project. An essential access road, used on a daily basis by a farming community's residents, employees, guests and for delivering of goods which is rapidly deteriorating and posing challenges to mobility and safety. The community has united, contributing funds and resources to the best of their ability to address the issue. However, additional funding is needed to complete this restoration process. To assist in this endeavour Aquila is taking hands with this community to organize a fundraising initiative featuring a raffle, with an Aquila Family Photoshoot as a donation as one of the prizes and a Hand-raised lamb as another prize, sponsored by one of the community members and his family. Thank you all for your support in this regard and for those who are diligently assisting on the road. Your input and support is highly appreciated. Raffle lists close on the 19th of September 2025 and the draw will take place on the 27th of September 2025. Aquila Blessings

Aquila means eagle. We teach others to find the king within themselves as well as how to allow the King of kings to lead them in the process on how to rise, reign, thrive and be liberated in such away that they may have exponential growth on a spiritual, mental, physical, emotional. social and financial level. We train leaders to become leaders for other leaders. Let's keep on encouraging each other to soar above the storms of life.

Keeping unity while building a community. Family plays an important role in our character building. Some have happy healthy families, others have broken families structures and others don't have family at all. Some went through severe storms or are in the middle of a storm while others had peaceful shorelines with beautiful sunsets. Whatever your story might be, you matter. The losses and challenges we personally faced through the years are driving us at Aquila to assist those who need support in building and restoring family relationships with safe boundaries. In cases where relationships are beyond restoration, as we know it, we assist the individual(s) with toolkids to refocus, rise and reign from the ashes in order so that they can thrive with a new beginning which stimulates personal growth and reintegration into society. I other words they find their tribe.

It is the story of a unselfish mother (Mama Louisa) who did not give up on her son while he was in prison for mistakes he made as a youngster. She battled at the gate for him and with him in prayer and with great love, while she stood on every promise God gave her for her son. Her love, commitment, prayers and faith in God, assisted in the process to shift his mindset. He did everything he could to show his remorse and what he could do from his side to bring a positive change to his community. This made him a very successful and respected man not only in his community but currently also nationally and internasionally. Today he is impacting thousands upon thousands of people teaching them how to choose live and abundance instead of killing, stealing and destroying. We honour the grandfathers, fathers, grandmothers and mothers for their devoted love and prayers for our young people in the local communities by giving them a message of hope. Encouraging them to keep on running the race. At Aquila we teach them how to rise and reign because they matter. As a token of appreciation we wash their feet, see inner healing taking place in their lives and spoil them with a lovely treat.
