I feel like something shifted in the last week. I picked up this book because I was looking for other books similar to Women Who Run with the Wolves and just began.
This book is about what they’re afraid of: Women owning allllll of their power. Because if we did, then they fear loss of their power, loss of identity and ideology, loss of selfhood completely.
Little did they know that before their cells in the womb differentiate to form male s*x organs, allll fetuses are female?
Thats right folks, what we are seeing in real time is self hatred sanctioned by the state and turned on what they mistakenly think is the other.
2017 and radicalized me but this administration’s sad attempts to codify into law the debased moral pretzeling of modern Christianity have made me a fighter.
out of all the trauma I’ve experienced in my life the last to unwind was the trauma inflicted by the church.
The right wing evangelical church.
My parents had us at pro life rallies as tiny kids and I didn’t know better. They left churches that became too liberal, that approved abortion (heavens!) or that allowed women to be ordained or g**s to be married.
This fight is a fight for all marginalized people against the white western Christian man and the theocracy that undergirds capitalism. Yes, all white men.
Just like it’s not enough for your man to only do stuff around the house when you explicitly ask him to, it’s not ok for the harmless white men to sit there and go, “but not all men.”
if they aren’t actively interrogating their own complicity in subtle and not subtle ways with the systems that support the r**e and murder of women and all people of color then yes all white men.
As for women? Specifically whites women? It’s OUR JOB to organize and activate. People of color have been doing it. Black women have been doing it. This means more than marches. It means community safety nets, targeted boycotts, growing food gardens, self education, donating what you have in time/money/materials. This is not time to wait for November. We cannot. We are tough and ancient. Let’s prove it.
