১৪ ও ১৫ নভেম্বর ২০২৩ খ্রিস্টাব্দ তারিখে বারাকা পুরুষ মাদকাসক্ত চিকিৎসা ও পুনর্বাসন কেন্দ্রের উদ্যোগে ""Organizational Behaviour" শীর্ষক প্রশিক্ষণ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মনোবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের শিক্ষক ও হিলিং হার্ট ফাউন্ডেশন এর প্রধান সিস্টার লিপি গ্লোরিয়া। প্রশিক্ষণে বারাকার বিভিন্ন ইউনিটের ৩৬ জন কর্মী অংশগ্রহণ করেন। এছাড়াও বারাকার পরিচালক ব্রাদার নির্মল ফ্রান্সিস গমেজ সিএসসি সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন।

Bangladesh Rehabilitation and Assistance Center for Addicts (BARACA) is a non-government, non-profitable voluntary development organization. It is a central project of Caritas Bangladesh. BARACA was initiated by the Holy Cross Brothers in Bangladesh on 1st July 1988 and it is the first drug treatment and rehabilitation center in Bangladesh. It provides services for treatment and rehabilitation for drug dependent persons (male & female), awareness on drug, harm & risk reduction, Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) for the drug dependent persons, day-care and night shelter for the street-based children at risk.

BARACA established two Treatment & Rehabilitation Centers for men and women, four Drop in Centers (DICs) for men, women, children (boys & girls) and two Night shelters for children (boys & girls) to perform the following:

Primary health care service; Prevention, treatment and after-care services for drug addicts and s*x abusers; Harm reduction; Health and nutrition; Adolescent health care; and Pro-life reproductive health education.

Basic principles of BARACA
