His Excellency Shri 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐡𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐬 has recently joined as 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 for Sylhet. We extend our heartiest welcome & best wishes to the new Assistant High Commissioner in holy city of 𝗦𝘆𝗹𝗵𝗲𝘁. We are hopeful that under his leadership, the relationship between two nations will be further strengthened and difficulties to obtain appointment of visa submission will be mitigated and ensure that people with emergencies get the VISA easily.

Shri Aniruddha Das joined the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in 1997. During his initial years, 1997-1999, he worked in the China Section of the East Asia Division of the Ministry at the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra desk. In MEA Headquarters, New Delhi, he has served in the Establishment Division, Global Estate Management (GEM) Division, and Development Partnership Administration (DPA-III) Division of MEA. He was posted in different capacities in the Indian Missions in Tunis (Tunisia), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Frankfurt (Germany), Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), and Valletta (Malta). In the course of his duties, he travelled to Africa, Asia, Europe, the USA, and the Caribbean region.
Shri Aniruddha Das received his early education at Ramakrishna Mission Residential School, Narendrapur, on the outskirts of Kolkata. After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Physics, he completed his postgraduation from the University of Calcutta with a first-class degree. Shri Aniruddha Das received training in administrative and establishment matters in the Foreign Service Institute of his ministry, where he also served as a trainer for junior officials. In addition to English, Shri Aniruddha Das is fluent in Hindi and Bangla, his mother tongue. He also knows basic German.

Shri Aniruddha Das is a keen reader of books, loves to travel, and enjoys sports, movies, and music in his leisure time. He is married to Sumana Das, and they have two children, one daughter and one son.
