কার্ডিওপালমোনারি রিসাসিটেশন (সিপিআর) একটি জরুরি চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতি, যা কার্ডিয়াক অ্যারেস্ট বা হৃদযন্ত্র বন্ধ হয়ে যাওয়ার সময় ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি হৃদপিণ্ড এবং শ্বাসনালী পুনরুদ্ধারের জন্য প্রয়োগ করা হয়, যা মস্তিষ্ক এবং অন্যান্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অঙ্গের জন্য অক্সিজেনযুক্ত রক্তের প্রবাহ বজায় রাখতে সাহায্য করে। সিপিআর সাধারনত বুকের চাপ (চেস্ট কমপ্রেশন) এবং কৃত্রিম শ্বাস (রেস্কিউ ব্রিদিং) এর সমন্বয়ে পরিচালিত হয়।

এই কর্মশালায় অংশগ্রহণকারীরা কার্ডিয়াক অ্যারেস্ট পরিস্থিতিতে দ্রুত ও সঠিকভাবে Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) প্রদান করার কৌশল হাতে-কলমে শিখেছেন। অভিজ্ঞ প্রশিক্ষকদের তত্ত্বাবধানে তাত্ত্বিক আলোচনা ও প্র্যাকটিক্যাল সেশন—উভয়ের সমন্বয়ে প্রশিক্ষণটি ছিল অত্যন্ত কার্যকর ও প্রাণবন্ত।
এ ধরনের প্রশিক্ষণ চিকিৎসক ও স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করে এবং জরুরি পরিস্থিতিতে রোগীর জীবন রক্ষায় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে।

অনুষ্ঠানে নর্থ ইষ্ট মেডিকেল কলেজের এর সম্মানিত অধ‍্যক্ষ,অধ্যাপক ডাঃ মোঃ নাজমুল ইসলাম,প্রশিক্ষক ও প্রশিক্ষনারর্থীদের উদ্দেশ্যে বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন। উক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন-
অধ্যাপক ডাঃ আলমগীর আদিল সামদানি, চেয়ারপারসন মেডিকেল এডুকেশন ইউনিট ও ডাঃ মুনতাসির আলম রাহিমী, সহকারি পরিচালক,নর্থ ইষ্ট মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল।
অনুষ্ঠান শেষে অতিথিবৃন্দ প্রশিক্ষকদের সম্মাননা স্বারক ও প্রশিক্ষনারর্থীদের সার্টিফিকেট প্রদান করেন।

Medical Education Unit-এর এই উদ্যোগ নিঃসন্দেহে প্রশংসনীয়, ভবিষ্যতেও এ ধরনের কর্মশালা অব্যাহত থাকবে বলে আশা করা যায়।

📢 সতর্ক হোন, সচেতন হোন — মুখের ঘা অবহেলা নয়
মুখের ঘা বা ওরাল আলসার একটি সাধারণ সমস্যা মনে হলেও, অনেক ক্ষেত্রে এটি গুরুতর রোগের— এমনকি মুখের ক্যান্সারেরও প্রাথমিক লক্ষণ হতে পারে।
👉 বিশেষ করে, ৩ সপ্তাহের বেশি স্থায়ী মুখের ঘা, যা সাধারণ চিকিৎসায় ভালো হচ্ছে না— তা হতে পারে বিপদের ইঙ্গিত।
যেসব লক্ষণ দেখলে সতর্ক হবেন:
দীর্ঘদিন না শুকানো মুখের ঘা
মুখে সাদা বা লাল দাগ
অস্বাভাবিক ক্ষত বা ফোলা
এমন কোনো লক্ষণ থাকলে দেরি না করে বিশেষজ্ঞের পরামর্শ নিন।

✨Students from 3rd year to 5th year successfully Completed: Hands-On Healing – Basic Surgical & Trauma Skills ✨

Successful completion of intensive training program “Hands-On Healing: Basic Surgical & Trauma Skills”, organized by the Bangladesh Medical Students Society (BMSS), North East Medical College Local Committee, held from 20–22 April 2026 at North East Medical College.

This three-day program focused on essential clinical skills including CPR, IV cannulation, Catheterization, Suturing, and Trauma management, aiming to equip medical students with practical, life-saving competencies for real-world scenarios.

🎓 Last Lecture of MBBS Batch 24 🎓
The last lecture of MBBS Batch 24 was officially held today, marking a significant milestone in the journey of future doctors. What once began as a dream has now reached the stage of completion, filled with dedication, perseverance, and countless memories.
The program was conducted by Shagor Dey and Adiba Raisa Chowdhury. The honorable Principal, Prof. Dr. Md. Namzul Islam, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was further honored by the presence of distinguished guests: Prof. Dr. Nahid Elora, Head of the Department of Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Prof. Dr. Alamgir Adil Samdany, Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, Prof. Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin, Department of Surgery, and Associate Professor Dr. Fuad Rejwan Kabir, Dental Unit, NEMC.
A memorable documentary reflecting the journey of the 24th batch was thoughtfully crafted by Tasneem Rahman.

Multidisciplinary Learning: PID Integrated Session

Today, on April 18th, 2026, our 5th-year MBBS students participated in a comprehensive Integrated Teaching Session on Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) at the Fahim Lecture Gallery.

Under the supervision of Session Incharge Prof. Dr. Habiba Akther and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Rabeya Begum, the session featured as speakers:
Dr. Muntasir Alam Rahimi, Assistant Prof. Dept. Of Gynae and Obst.
Dr. Ruksana Laskar, Lecturer, Dept. Of Microbiology.
Dr. Sammi Rohman Chowdhury, Lecturer, Dept. Of Pharmacology.
The 2-hour lesson plan combined interactive lectures with clinical correlations, case discussions, and a deep dive into the diagnosis, pathophysiology, and pharmacological management of PID.
