🎓 DO or MSc in Osteopathy - What can you choose at the IAO?

At the International Academy of Osteopathy (IAO), we offer two recognised qualifications, but availability depends on the location.

Here’s what you need to know:

✔️ DO – Diploma in Osteopathy (Germany & Belgium)
• Available in Germany: Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Munich, Osnabrück & Stuttgart 🇩🇪
• Recognised by the VOD (Verband der Osteopathen Deutschland e.V.)
• Also available in French-speaking Belgium: Mont-Saint-Guibert 🇧🇪
• Practice-oriented training with manual techniques & clinical skills
• No academic degree, but highly respected within the profession

✔️ MSc in Osteopathy — Master of Science
• Academic Master’s degree for advanced scientific and clinical expertise
• Available in Austria: Innsbruck & Vienna 🇦🇹
• Also offered in: Belgium (Antwerp, Ghent, Zeist) & Copenhagen 🇧🇪 🇩🇰
• Prepares you for high-level clinical, academic or scientific roles
• Internationally recognised degree

💡 In short:
In Germany & French-speaking Belgium you can earn the DO — a respected, practice-focused diploma
recognised by professional associations.
In Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Netherlands & Denmark you can follow the MSc in Osteopathy
for an academic career boost.

Senior Lecturer & Course Director – Department Integration

With years of experience and in-depth expertise, Frédéric is a key figure at the IAO.
🇩🇰 He teaches in the MSc. Ost. programme in Copenhagen and is known for his thorough and practice-oriented approach.

👨‍🏫 Lerne Dr. Marc Asche kennen
Ein Name, der in der IAO-Community noch immer nachhallt!

Auch wenn es mittlerweile über 10 Jahre her ist, dass Marc Asche an der IAO unterrichtete, hat er einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen.
Er war eine treibende Kraft in unseren deutschsprachigen Programmen und initiierte später das Postakademische Modul „Osteopathie bei Kindern“.

Vor einigen Jahren promovierte Marc und erlangte seinen PhD – ein weiterer Meilenstein in seiner akademischen Laufbahn. 🎓

Wir sind stolz auf ehemalige IAO-Dozentinnen wie Marc,
deren Engagement Osteopathinnen in ganz Europa weiterhin inspiriert.
