๐ Day 1 Highlights โ Masterclass Modern Poultry Disciplines, Kampala Uganda
Day 1 of the Modern Poultry Masterclass in Kampala opened with strong engagement and participation from nearly 100 poultry professionals. With contributions from across the value chain โ including hatcheries, genetics, nutrition, equipment, and animal health โ the day offered rich, cross-sector insights.
Representing the Animal Health segment, we presented on best practices for antibiotic use and veterinary stewardship, a topic that drew significant interest amid ongoing disease challenges. The session was tailored to the Ugandan context, with a special focus on coccidiosis, a persistent and costly issue for many local farmers.
We shared practical tools and health management tips to help improve flock health while minimizing the risk of resistance.
Our interactive booth, hosted alongside our local partner ERAM (U) Ltd, provided a valuable space for in-depth discussions with participants seeking to enhance poultry health practices on their farms.
We now look forward to Day 2โs panel discussions โ an excellent platform for dialogue and collaboration as we continue supporting Ugandan farmers in optimizing flock health and performance.
