Een neuscorrectie (rhinoplastie) kan de vorm, grootte én functie van de neus verbeteren. Dat kan esthetisch zijn (bv. een bultje, scheefstand, brede of neerwaartse tip) én/of functioneel wanneer de neusademhaling beperkt is.
Tijdens de consultatie bespreekt de arts je wensen en neusanatomie, zodat de aanpak écht bij jou past. De ingreep gebeurt doorgaans onder algemene verdoving (vaak dagopname). Er kan gekozen worden voor een open of gesloten techniek; indien nodig wordt ook het neustussenschot gecorrigeerd om de ademhaling te verbeteren.

A rhinoplasty can improve the shape, size and function of the nose. It may be performed for aesthetic reasons (such as a nasal hump, asymmetry, a wide nose or a drooping tip) and/or for functional concerns when breathing through the nose is restricted.
During your consultation, the surgeon will discuss your wishes and nasal anatomy to ensure a personalised approach. The procedure is usually performed under general anaesthesia (often as a day procedure). Depending on your needs, an open or closed technique may be used. If necessary, the nasal septum can also be corrected to improve breathing.
