Yesterday, we hosted a great EMEA In-Hospital Training Course, organized by Johnson & Johnson Ethicon, with visiting surgeons from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, Lebanon 🇱🇧 and Portugal 🇵🇹.

On September 3&4, we had the pleasure of welcoming a team of surgeons and anesthesiologists from Turkey 🇹🇷 for a Redo Surgery Clinical Immersion, organized in collaboration with Medtronic.

This two-day program highlighted revisional procedures in bariatric and metabolic surgery through live cases, advanced techniques, and insightful discussions. 📣

Dr. Bruno Dillemans had the pleasure last week of hosting a group of surgeons from Turkey 🇹🇷 for a course on Bariatric Redo Surgery organized by Medtronic.
The course provided insight on revisional surgery after weight regain, as well as on complication management. The surgeons observed a high number of live surgeries with various techniques with ongoing interactive discussions.

I enjoyed a fantastic IFSO-EC congress in Venice 🇮🇹. The presentations, talks, debates and discussions were at a very high scientific level. The venue and the hotel (Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort*****) were splendid, as were the atmosphere as the friendship among all of us, bariatric and metabolic surgeons included the presence of many BARIAlink colleagues (cf. picture) from all over the globe 🌏.

My congratulations to Maurizio De Luca and Nicola Di Lorenzo for marvellously hosting one of the best IFSO-EC congresses ever 👏.

✨ Dr Dillemans was more than pleased to actively participate to the well-organized IBSC 2025 held from April 9th to 11th in Madrid under the guidance of Dr. Antonio Torres and Dr. Andrés Sanchez-Pernaute 🇪🇸

We were honoured to perform a nice live surgery procedure on a patient who we convert from an unsuccessful laparoscopic band procedure to a gastric bypass. Besides that we were enjoying the theoretic sessions, which covered innovative and diverse aspects of bariatric and metabolic surgery. 🙏🏨

We were also privileged to be invited for a delightful dinner with a great group of colleagues/friends at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium of Real Madrid 🏟️⚽️
