> Meditation comes in many colours and shapes. How can you differentiate between “true” meditation that leads to awakening, and any other practice called meditation that perpetuates our ordinary habitual patterns and has us marinate in our misery, but now intensified on a meditation cushion?

Dear beloved,

Meditation is the practice of being with what is, without trying to make anything happen or prevent anything from happening. Being completely available to be devoured by the present moment. It requires a mind that "stays", giving access to a penetrative insight in the essence of who you are.

Radical kindness

Innocent yet not naive
Vulnerable yet not fragile
Naked yet not self-conscious
Generous yet not sacrificial
Gentle yet not dull
Accepting yet not allowing
Serving yet not submitting

Embracing all my mind’s delusions
And killing them with kindness

Dear beloved,

What about some wild nature this weekend? In the beautiful forests of the Ardennes, we will practice authentic presence - freely expressing and revealing yourself while being with others. You learn to let go of habitual patterns and conditioned responses, allowing you to form deeper, more genuine connections rooted in who you truly are.

"Enlightenment arises from within the body it does not arise at all. Unless the body is realised as the perfect crucible for liberation, freedom from conditioned existence remains only an imaginary dream." - Yeshe Tsogyal, 8th century

All info about the immersion: https://shorturl.at/Klue0

Together we’ll choose the dates that work for all of us.

_Testimony meditation participant: Wow, what a transformative experience this was. The meditation techniques from this training come from a special lineage and are truly completely different and much more intense than the other ‘meditations’ I know, which basically amount to ‘Do nothing.’ I experienced what it's like to observe sensations, thoughts, and emotions without being distracted or grabbed by them. And what it's like to see myself and the world from a different, more realistic perspective. In my daily life, I’m constantly applying these meditation techniques, and I notice that I feel sharper, calmer, and freer, with a new appreciation and contentment for life as it is, without the urge to change things. Only now do I realize how much I was actually being driven by all kinds of unconscious impulses._

Listen.

We must all stop dying in the little ways,
in the craters of hate,
in the potholes of indifference-
a murder in the temple.

The place I live in
is a kind of maze
and I keep seeking
the exit or the home.

Yet if I could listen
to the bulldog courage of those children
and turn inward into the plague of my soul
with more eyes than the stars

I could melt the darkness-as suddenly as that timewhen an awful headache goes awayor someone puts out the fire-
and stop the darkness and its amputationsand find the real McCoyin the private holinessof my hands.

From “the children” by Anne Sexton

There is a kinship between su***de and mysticism: both seek the end of the “self” as a release from suffering. Both are willing to fall into Death’s embrace in search of new life. Both have access to altered states of consciousness—consider, for example, the well-documented sense of “calm....

"The quest for understanding, purification, healing, or fulfilment erodes the vitality and freshness of being completely available to what is. It’s not the solution, it’s the problem."

It is a petition to be without identity, to be nothing and nobody (or everything and everybody, if you prefer). It is a suspension of societ

"Modern Western Buddhism functions remarkably like an avoidant attachment strategy dressed in spiritual robes. This isn't immediately obvious - the language is all about awareness, presence, and acceptance. But watch closely how these teachings typically get enacted: sitting alone on your cushion, maintaining emotional distance through "equanimity," pursuing individual enlightenment while treating intimate relationships as distractions. We've created a spiritual technology perfectly appealing to individuals with avoidant attachment." - Daniel Thorson

To love myself means to accept and welcome pain and the intense emotions of life, without enforcing ideas about how I ought to be or feel. Just being with what is there, intimately feeling what is true, without trying to make anything happen, or prevent anything from happening.
