Brussels Mindfulness

Brussels Mindfulness We are here to support you in growing mental strengths for greater wellbeing and resilience. On a personal, and also political and economic level.

Promoting conscious and balanced living and working through resilience and mindfulness trainings, retreats, and coaching to enhance well-being and kindness in this world. Every day, important decisions are being taken by the people we work with. Through our mindfulness based trainings we want to help you create more mental space and greater awareness so these decisions can be taken from a wider perspective of clarity, wisdom and kindness, rather than from the tunnel vision of stress, fear or negativity. Check out our vast wellbeing programme for organisations. Feel free to also visit our group brussels mindfulness.

There is something about spring…

Trees don’t force their blossoms.
They don’t rush the process.

They simply respond — when the conditions are right.

Maybe we can do the same.

🌿 During our Tuesday morning meditation, I recorded a short guided tree meditation — a gentle invitation to slow down, feel your ground, and reconnect with your own natural rhythm.

And if you feel the need for a deeper pause:

A few spots are still open for our Spring Day of Nourishment with Alena in Brussels.

→ 25 April | 10:00–16:30
→ A day to slow down, recharge, and reconnect

You’re very welcome.

You can sleep well, take breaks — and still feel exhausted.

And that can be confusing.

Often, it’s not physical fatigue.
It’s emotional.

I see this quite often — especially in people who are used to holding things together, being present for others, and staying composed.

Here are 3 subtle signs you might need emotional rest:

• You feel drained after interactions — even small ones
• You keep things together on the outside, but feel tense or flat inside
• You don’t quite feel like yourself, even when nothing is “wrong”

In many situations, we are constantly adapting, regulating, and responding.
And that takes energy.

Emotional rest is not about doing nothing.
It’s about giving your system moments where it doesn’t have to perform.

Sometimes, it starts very simply:
a pause, a breath, a moment of being fully yourself again.

I’m curious if you recognise this in yourself.

🌿Happiness doesn’t come from the outside.
And yet, we often look for it there.

In the weather,
in how our day unfolds,
in whether someone texts back.

We wait for the right conditions to feel good.

But what if happiness didn’t depend so much on circumstances?

What if we could grow a more stable inner core —
a sense of calm, contentment, and enoughness
that stays with us, even when things are not perfect?

🌿 This is something we can train.

Through small moments of noticing the good,
and letting them really land,
we gradually build a quieter, more resilient kind of happiness — from within.

Not dependent.
But available.

If you’d like to explore this more deeply,
our next Positive Neuroplasticity Training starts end of April. (link in comments).

When everything feels loud and demanding,
we don’t need more input.

We need space.
Silence.
A moment to come back to ourselves.

Not to escape life —
but to reconnect with what truly matters.

🌿 Even one conscious breath can be a beginning.

What helps you find a moment of silence?

If you’d like to create more space for yourself and enjoy a full day in silence,
you’re warmly invited to join our next Day of Nourishment with : https://www.brusselsmindfulness.be/agenda/spring-day-of-nourishment-befriending-your-mind

Did you know about the 10-3-2-1-0 rule for better sleep?

We explored this simple guideline during yesterday’s Reclaim your sleep workshop.

It’s an easy way to help the body and mind gradually transition from activity into rest.

10 hours before bed – no caffeine
3 hours before bed – no heavy food or alcohol
2 hours before bed – stop working
1 hour before bed – no screens
0 – no snoozing in the morning

Small habits like these can support your nervous system and improve sleep quality over time.

Which of these would make the biggest difference for you?

This meditation guided live by Beate invites you to slow down and gently step out of the busyness of the mind.
