We are pleased to announce the appointment of Aileen Duffton, PhD, as the new Editor-in-Chief of tipsRO, Technical Innovations & Patient Support in Radiation Oncology!
πŸŽ“ Aileen Duffton serves as Lead Research and Development Radiographer at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre (BWoSCC) in Glasgow, UK, and is a Senior Honorary Lecturer at the University of Glasgow’s Institute of Cancer Science. She brings extensive expertise in stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), adaptive radiotherapy (ART), and patient and public involvement initiatives, and has successfully led numerous local and multi-centre research collaborations.
Her leadership within ESTRO has included roles on the Education Council, RTT Committee and the ESTRO Reirradiation focus group. Combined with her commitment to advancing radiotherapy practice, this uniquely positions her to guide tipsRO into its next chapter of innovation and impact, while strengthening the evidence base.
As Aileen takes the helm, we look forward to the vision and energy she will bring to the journal, further enhancing the visibility and influence of RTT research worldwide.

πŸŽ“ Barbara Knaeusl is a Senior Post-Doc Research Associate and Medical Physicist at the Medical University Of Vienna , Department of Radiation Oncology (Austria). She brings deep expertise in image guidance, adaptive treatment concepts, ion beam therapy, dosimetry, and precision radiotherapy, and has served as an Associate Editor for phiRO since 2023.

πŸŽ“ Tim Solberg serves as Clinical Professor and Senior Advisor on Advanced and Emerging Technology at the University of Washington (USA). He brings extensive academic and clinical experience across radiation therapy physics, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), SBRT, IGRT, motion management, adaptive radiotherapy, and proton therapy, and previously served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics (JACMP).
