Have you read the EarlyBrain White Book yet?

A better future starts with strong foundations.
The White Book highlights what works (and what still needs to change) to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive. Support needs to be:
✅ Family-centred
✅ Community-based
✅ Inclusive and coordinated across health, education & social services

Let’s keep the conversation going and push for real change.

☑️ Yesterday we launched our informal carers report.
☑️ Today we signed the Turin Declaration.

12 organisations stand alongside our action to ensure sustainable, community-based support systems that empower families and informal carers.

What's in the Declaration?
💠 Focus on delivering a strong EU Care Deal.
💠 Create a second phase of the EU Disability Rights Strategy (2026–2030)
💠 Call to strengthen the Child Guarantee for children with disabilities and their families

The main message of the EASPD Turin Declaration is very clear : an inclusive system is not a privilege, it's a right.

Today is and we celebrate the vital contribution of informal carers.

Did you know?
📊 45% of people in the EU provide some form of informal care.
👩‍👧‍👦 60% of informal carers in the EU are women, often facing barriers to full employment, equal pay, and social inclusion.
💶 The economic value of informal care accounts for about 1/3 of the gender pay gap.
💡 Every euro invested in formal care can generate up to €4 in economic returns.

Yet, informal carers often remain unrecognised and unsupported. Gaps in access to affordable childcare, long-term care, and disability support services put additional strain on families.

This will be at the heart of our Conference in Turin. We’ll share best practices and push for policy action to empower families, support informal carers, and strengthen the care workforce.

Early childhood is a critical period for brain development. The EarlyBrain's latest resources are helping to create nurturing environments where every child, especially those facing developmental challenges, can thrive.

Designed for parents, educators and professionals, these resources make it easier to translate Early Childhood Intervention knowledge into practical strategies that can be used by parents in everyday life.

Using five different children's stories, the toolkit provides didactical materials that enable parents and caregivers to address challenging situations and help to foster their child’s learning, self-regulation and social-emotional skills.
