🎥 As part of the project, we are sharing a series of testimonial videos featuring voices from our training sessions and Listening Circles.

First, the Italian CESIE ETS (Palermo, Sicily) testimonial was conducted with the contribution of professionals who took part in our Listening Circles in Italy, highlighting the importance of emotional resilience, active listening and community-building in supporting unaccompanied children with disabilities.

And this is just the beginning: more testimonial videos from our partner countries will be released in the upcoming months.

50 young people with disabilities from Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia and Spain spent a week in Hungary for the “Be a Volunteer!” project hosted by Nem Adom Fel.

Over 7 days, participants explored:
🔹What volunteering means to them
🔹How to share tasks and work as a team
🔹Activities they can do in their communities
🔹Their personal strengths and skills
🔹What they want to learn and where support is needed

Through games, role plays, group discussions, and reflection, they built confidence, friendships and a shared vision for inclusive volunteering. 🌈🤝

Disability rights are human rights.

On this , we’re reminded that human rights are the basis we rely on every day. Too often taken for granted or seen as abstract, they shape our daily lives in ways we may not even notice.

Support services are key enablers of these rights. EASPD calls for:
📌 Access to tailored support for all people with disabilities, when and where they need it
📌 Adequate, reliable funding for service providers
📌 Right training and recognition of care and support staff

Human rights don’t protect themselves. We all have a role to play in speaking up, challenging discrimination, and making sure that policies turn into real change.

Let’s work together to build a Europe where everyone’s rights are respected, valued and lived in full, every single day.

🗞 | Last week, disability rights and inclusion took centre stage at both the European Parliament and the European Commission. Echoing her intervention in the Parliament, our Interim Head of Policy reminded us that practical solutions for better support already exist in many parts of Europe. Now it’s all about ensuring these solutions become available to everyone. More:

🫂 Building truly inclusive communities starts with co-creation, listening to local voices, and trying out new ideas that bring people closer.

This is the aim of the ICALL project, which was spotlighted at our Conference in Turin during the workshop "Building Community Connections and Inclusive Spaces".

Participants explored the recently developed ICALL Training Manual, created to help local authorities, NGOs, and service providers shape inclusive communities from the ground up.

The workshop wrapped up with a meme game, proving that inclusion can be both meaningful and fun!

💡 What’s next? The training materials will soon be piloted in Finland, Greece, Hungary, and Poland to test how they work in practice and gather feedback.
