Yesterday at the European Parliament 🇪🇺, the TRANSFORM event brought valuable insights on the future of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) in Europe. Discussions highlighted the need for smarter regulation, stronger collaboration across stakeholders and sustainable models that ensure equitable access for patients in all Member States.
EAHP underlines the key role of hospital pharmacists in ensuring access to safe and effective ATMPs 🏥 We also underline the importance of the hospital exemption within the legislative framework for situations where treatments may be lifesaving, but no commercial or investigational options are available. As negotiations on the GPL continue, ensuring a clear and harmonised application of this exemption will be essential.
