🤝 Strengthening global action on diabetes-related kidney disease

The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the International Diabetes Federation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step toward closer collaboration between the kidney and diabetes communities.

Diabetes is the leading cause of chronic kidney disease worldwide. With over 850 million people living with CKD and 590 million with diabetes, coordinated action has never been more urgent.

Through this partnership, ISN and IDF will work together on:
🔹 Joint advocacy aligned with global priorities such as SDG 3.4, SDG 3.8, and the WHO Global Diabetes Compact
🔹 Education, capacity building, and scientific exchange
🔹 Coordinated awareness initiatives around World Kidney Day and World Diabetes Day

This MoU reinforces ISN’s commitment to strategic partnerships that elevate kidney health within the broader NCD agenda and advance equitable access to prevention and care worldwide.
