Les implants mammaires augmentent-ils le risque de cancer du sein ?
Les implants n’augmentent pas le risque de cancer du sein classique.
Cependant, il existe un risque extrêmement rare de lymphome anaplasique à grandes cellules (surtout avec les implants texturés).
Pour le dépistage, les implants peuvent gêner la mammographie : il est donc essentiel de prévenir le radiologue, qui adaptera la technique (mammographie spécialisée, échographie, voire IRM).

هل تزيد حشوات الثدي من خطر الإصابة بسرطان الثدي؟
الحشوات لا تزيد من خطر الإصابة بسرطان الثدي التقليدي.
لكن هناك خطر نادر جداً من نوع خاص من الأورام (ALCL) مرتبط أكثر بالحشوات الخشنة.
أما الفحوصات، فقد تعيق الحشوات قراءة صورة الثدي الشعاعية، لذلك يجب إبلاغ أخصائي الأشعة لاستخدام تقنيات بديلة مثل الإيكو أو الرنين المغناطيسي.

Do breast implants increase the risk of breast cancer?
Breast implants do not increase the risk of typical breast cancer.
There is, however, an extremely rare risk of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (mainly with textured implants).
For breast screening, implants can sometimes obscure mammograms — which is why it’s crucial to inform the radiologist, so adapted techniques (specialized mammography, ultrasound, or MRI) can be used.

Peut-on allaiter avec des implants mammaires ?
Dans la majorité des cas, oui. Les implants ne bloquent pas la lactation.
Je privilégie des techniques chirurgicales qui préservent la fonction d’allaitement, comme une incision sous-mammaire plutôt qu’autour de l’aréole.
Mais il est important d’en discuter avant l’intervention si vous envisagez une grossesse et l’allaitement.

هل يمكن الإرضاع مع حشوات الثدي؟
في معظم الحالات نعم. الحشوات لا تمنع إنتاج الحليب.
أفضّل تقنيات جراحية تحافظ على إمكانية الإرضاع، مثل الشق أسفل الثدي بدلاً من حول الهالة.
لكن من المهم مناقشة هذا الموضوع قبل العملية في حال كانت المريضة تخطط للإرضاع مستقبلاً.

Can you breastfeed with breast implants?
In most cases, yes. Implants do not block lactation.
I often favor techniques that preserve breastfeeding potential, such as an incision under the breast rather than around the ar**la.
Still, it’s important to discuss this before surgery if future breastfeeding is part of your plan.

Les implants mammaires ne sont pas des dispositifs à vie.
En moyenne, ils durent 10 à 15 ans, mais certaines femmes les gardent plus longtemps sans problème.
Ils peuvent nécessiter un remplacement ou un retrait en cas de :
• rupture,
• contracture capsulaire (durcissement autour de l’implant),
• ou changements esthétiques avec le temps.
Chaque patiente est différente, et le suivi est essentiel.

C’est là que je trouve ma concentration, mon rythme, mon art.
Chaque geste compte, chaque instrument a sa place, chaque respiration s’accorde comme une symphonie.

I'm proud to share that our publication, “Artificial Intelligence in Plastic Surgery: Insights from Plastic Surgeons, Education Integration, ChatGPT’s Survey Predictions, and the Path Forward”, has been awarded Best Paper of the Year 2025 by PRS Global Open.

This study represents one of the first large-scale efforts to understand how plastic surgeons perceive and engage with AI. Through a survey of 153 specialists from 20 countries, we explored current experience levels, expected applications, ethical concerns, and educational needs surrounding AI in our field.

🔍 Key findings:
• 66% of surgeons expect AI to become increasingly important
• 90% see AI’s value in surgical visualization
• 82% believe AI can improve accuracy
• Yet 88% have never used it clinically
• Most still agree: AI will support, not replace, human surgeons
• Integration into education is essential

From burn care to simulation training, from imaging analysis to patient consultations — AI is here. But its integration must be transparent, ethical, and centred on patient safety.

💡 The future of plastic surgery lies not in replacing surgeons — but in empowering them with smarter tools.
