Excited to announce that mowiz TRUCK has signed the Wellbeing Pledge and been awarded the title of our FIRST Wellbeing Ambassador!

As a leading provider of secure truck parking solutions, mowiz TRUCK is setting a powerful example in prioritizing the physical, mental, and emotional health of professional drivers across Europe. This recognition, presented in Brussels on July 30, 2025, celebrates their outstanding commitment under the European Wellbeing Initiative (Ewellin).

Operating a GOLD-certified secure parking facility in Astigarraga—recently honored with the first-ever Green TRUCK PARKING AWARD—mowiz TRUCK goes beyond compliance to create safe, sustainable spaces for drivers to rest and recharge. They’re not just a signatory; they’re an active participant in our Wellbeing Working Group, sharing best practices and driving strategies to combat fatigue, isolation, and stress in the transport sector. Their leadership shone through at the inaugural Wellbeing Campaign Event they hosted on July 11-12 in Astigarraga, featuring workshops, discussions, and even the inauguration of a vegetable garden to promote holistic health.

Leading this charge is an exceptional team: Luis Manuel Calvo, CEO and General Manager, who steers strategic operations and EU advisory roles; Mª Adela de Olano La Roche, Sustainability and ESG Director at Grupo EYSA and representative for mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga, championing green initiatives; Jorge Bernet Fernandez, Chief Strategy Officer, focusing on sales and network expansion; and Inigo Bestegui, Parking Manager at the Astigarraga facility, innovating in technology and driver support.

In Europe’s logistics industry, where we face a shortage of 300,000 drivers and 100,000 secure parking spots, initiatives like this are crucial. Professional drivers endure long hours and high demands, and mowiz TRUCK’s efforts align perfectly with Ewellin’s mission to foster safer roads, reduce accidents, and build a resilient workforce. As our first Ambassador, they’ll inspire others to join the movement and implement real changes.

A huge thank you to Luis Manuel Calvo, Mª Adela de Olano La Roche, Jorge Bernet Fernandez, Inigo Bestegui, and the entire mowiz TRUCK team for hashtag and leading the way! As Druselia Betea said, “The journey towards better driver well-being starts with commitment and action. Together, we can drive positive change in our industry.”

Excited to welcome DEKRA as the latest signatory to the Wellbeing Pledge!

Oliver Deiters, Head of Global External Affairs and Public Policy at DEKRA, has signed on behalf of this renowned global leader in safety, testing, inspection, and certification. Founded in 1925, DEKRA brings nearly a century of expertise and a steadfast commitment to “Vision Zero”—a world without road fatalities—to our European Wellbeing Initiative (Ewellin). This partnership bolsters our shared mission to prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional health of professional drivers across Europe.

In the transport and logistics sector, professional drivers face immense challenges: long hours, high stress, isolation, and fatigue, exacerbated by a shortage of approximately 300,000 drivers and over 100,000 secure parking spots continent-wide. These issues not only affect individual wellbeing but also contribute to higher accident rates and operational inefficiencies. DEKRA’s involvement is a game-changer, as their Employee Wellbeing Programs offer tailored assessments, coaching, and training to combat burnout and build resilience. Coupled with their annual Road Safety Reports—which analyze trends and advocate for infrastructure improvements like “forgiving” roads and better rest facilities—DEKRA will help amplify Ewellin’s efforts to create safer, healthier working environments.

Since the Wellbeing Pledge launched in February 2025, we’ve grown to over 100 stakeholders, including transport companies, unions, researchers, and policymakers. Our Unified Action Plan focuses on six flagship programs: collaborative working groups, a Wellbeing Label for exemplary organizations, educational resources, EU-level policy advocacy, innovative pilot projects (such as telehealth for drivers), and measurable impact tracking. DEKRA’s signature aligns perfectly with these, enhancing our ability to drive real, sustainable change and support a more resilient workforce that powers Europe’s economy.
A big thank you to Oliver Deiters and the entire DEKRA team for hashtag in spreading awareness, educating stakeholders, and investing in tangible actions for driver wellbeing.

Together, we’re not just talking about a better future—we’re building it, one pledge at a time!

Ready to join? Organizations big and small are welcome—sign the Wellbeing Pledge at wellbeingpledge.eu to access resources, networks, and recognition. Let’s collaborate for safer roads and happier drivers! 🚚💪

🌟 Exciting News: Truckers Life Foundation Joins the Wellbeing Pledge! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that the Truckers Life Foundation from Poland has officially joined the Wellbeing Pledge! This important milestone is represented by three passionate advocates for truckers’ wellbeing: Dagmara Trusewicz, Patrycja Dudzisz, and Anna Kuzynin. Together, they are active participants in the Wellbeing Working Groups of the European Wellbeing Initiative, and their commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring.

The Truckers Life Foundation is dedicated to creating tools and projects that foster real change in the transport industry. They amplify the voices of drivers, ensuring their concerns are communicated to businesses, and work towards combining both perspectives into practical and effective solutions. Their foundation focuses on several key goals:
1. Advocating for Rights: Reminding the transport industry of the rights of professional drivers to decent working conditions and respect.
2. Quality Improvement: Providing tools aimed at enhancing the quality of work for professional drivers.
3. Setting New Standards: Establishing a new standard of cooperation in the transport industry that benefits all stakeholders involved.
4. Corporate Social Responsibility: Striving to ensure that corporate social responsibility policies in the transport sector include initiatives aimed at improving drivers' working conditions.

One of their standout initiatives is the Truckers Friendly Place certificate, awarded to businesses that prioritize the working conditions of professional drivers during loading and unloading operations. This certification supports the implementation of ESG activities and sets standards for ethical and socially responsible business practices, aligning perfectly with new European regulations, including the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).

We are proud to have Truckers Life Foundation as part of the Wellbeing Pledge, as their mission aligns seamlessly with our initiative to promote driver wellbeing and create a healthier work environment across the industry.

The heartfelt moments celebrating this partnership were captured at the ESPORG vzw stand during the Munich Fair 2025, particularly in our Wellbeing Corner, where we highlighted the importance of these initiatives.

Let’s continue to work together to ensure that the voices of professional drivers are heard and respected!
